Probably right, although i'd play Maxi today as its a more important game and play Carroll against QPR next weekend.

Looks like Maxi will be off in January then, as much as i love him, its the right decision for his sake, if he cant get a game ahead of ****ing Carroll or Henderson then he has the right to leave. Too good for the bench.

The only reasonable explanation I can see is that Kenny knows Maxi is coming to the end of his career and thinks it will be more beneficial long-term to get the younger players integrated into the team. He obviously also has faith in his signings and doesn’t them as a downgrade on Maxi.

Let's hope he's right.

I would imagine an away game against Fulham would be less pressure than a home game against QPR and also maybe more suited to play to his strengths.
