doesn't mean its right. who decided to turn the premier league into a virtually non contact sport? Shirt pulling rarely get punished, cheats are allowed to prosper by feigning fouls and good honest tackles and players are punished. hell no wonder they all try and cheat.

Rodwell red was a joke as was the balotelli one to name but two. its not just us, its the whole game. top to bottom is rotten. I wish I was ten again, I'd walk away and have nothing to do with it all. hindsight.

You just have to accept bad decisions will always be made, you just have to deal with it and move on.

See those pics would be bad had Dembele nicked ahead of Spearing and got the ball away, he didn't - Spearing won the 50/50, his follow through is what caught the player.

My question is how could he have won the ball and not hit the man?

I was always taught as a kid not to shirk a tackle as you had more likelihood of getting hurt if you did

Kenny summed it up Spearing had eyes for the ball and won it and Dembele just got in the way

We've come on leaps and bounds since 2009. How anyone can gave a go at Kenny at the moment is beyond me.

Because Kenny knows the one thing we don't have is goals. The ONLY man currently who can give us goals is Maxi. Kenny's done well so far but lets not completely go the other way in admiration. Still a work in progress.

Why would it be too cold to remove the gloves during the game, but suddenly it's warm enough to take them off before he's come off the pitch?

There's no think about it, the picture PROVES he was onside.

Questionable. We are assuming that this frame is the exact sane frame as Downing kicked the ball. I looks like it, but it could look like it on the previous or subsequent frame, and the player positions could have been different. It's good enough to use in response to email abuse so it'll do me, but it was clearly a very marginal decision in real time. On the limits of what a human linesman can reliably perceive and well within the bounds of a reasonable mistake.

It was an even sort of game that could have gone either way - the amount of room they had in the middle of the field was worrying. At times Spearing just looked like a little kid playing against men - zero physical presence, and Henderson wasn't much better in a defensive sense. A midfield 3 of Adam, Henderson and Spearing is going to be problematic for our defence, and even with Spearing out I don't see any other midfielder coming in and having a much needed defensive impact.

Carroll was owned in the air by Hangeland. I just don't see how he's getting a game at the minute; he's not skillful, isn't fast, and his supposed strength (aerial presence) is routinely nullified. Even when he went off we were still sending crosses in to smaller men that Hangeland & Co were comfortably dealing with.

The sending off was on the harsh side, but how Dempsey wasn't red-carded was ****ing ridiculous.

Think that game summed up our season.

First of all the ref was a ****ing disgrace. Just incredibly inept. And I rarely have a go at refs too. That's one of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen.

There were positives - we played well for just over half of the game. Agger, Skrtel, Enrique, Adam and Henderson all looked good. Suarez gets **** all change and I think he's probably due a rest as he's played non-stop now for the best part of two years. On another day we'd have had a better ref, a perfectly good goal allowed, 11 players on the pitch and three goals.

However we're really going to miss Lucas. The amount of times in the first half where we had no shield in front of the back four was incredible - shows how important Lucas is to us. And that was Fulham; unless we get someone in January then we're going to have a big problem. Spearing has done well when called upon but he's nowhere near the quality of Lucas.

Yet again we're wasteful and yet again Maxi can't get a sniff. Not saying that he'd have scored two goals and won us the game but you play the players that perform when given their chance. Our lack of a clinical striker is also hampering us.

It was just typically frustrating. Good points to be taken from tonight but also a lot of concerns.

Ref was ****ing appalling he let stuff go that shouldnt he blew up when he shouldnt he booked when he shouldnt he sent off when he shouldnt and ignored rugby tackles when he shouldnt have

With respect, that is nonsense. Suarez got us a goal which should have stood, but for a blind linesman.
