Sure, Carroll is frustrating at the moment, but I dont agree with your assessment.
It was a tough game, it was tight, its a small pitch and they packed it compactly and were very organized. I felt that if we continued with 11 men, we would have won that game.
But hey ho what can you do, its history. I am disappointment at the result but not the performance as a whole
We need to put a string of wins together now, no better place to start than at home to that Asshats team QPRAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Who are the people in front of him? You can see a head at the bottom of that picture who is that? If that is a member of our coaching staff or a physio or some one that picture may not being as it appears.Originally posted by Mostar View PostHere is better angle to support your claim..

When is the picture taken? Suarez has removed his gloves which probably suggests either there is something wrong with his hand and he is signaling to the physio, or his hands are warm and he no longer requires the gloves and is passing them to someone on the bench. It would be very odd to take off both gloves to give the finger to the crowd and then put them back on.
It all depends on context. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

From the BBC
Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing's shots against the woodwork meant that Liverpool have hit it 12 times this season - at least fives times more than any other Premier League team

Jay had played well previously when he was alongside LucasOriginally posted by Lecter View PostWell the fact is even with Spearing on the pitch supposedly holding, Dempsey found acres of space in front of our back four on frequent occasions
Jay has done well in previous games (last season) but he was a mile off the pace yesterday
The cold facts are that he isnt good enough for the majority of PL games.
I'm afraid to say we need another 20m + Jaunary investment to buy a goalscorer and a holding midfielder.
Oh and if Suarez has given the Fulham fans the finger while already under a FA charge of racism then he is a ****ing idiot and deserves a ban.
He doesn't understand English that well by all acounts so anything shouted at him shouldn't have any effect.
Another case of us doing more than enough to win the game, Carroll was nowhere near as bad as some are saying, he worked hard, held the ball up, won knock downs and was unlucky with his finish on his weaker foot.
Skrtel and Agger were good again, Adam and Henderson progressive and covered a lot of ground.
Downing hits the post for the 3rd time (our 12th!) already this season.
I think Kenny burnt down a black cat cattery or something.
****ing refs
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

what we do is have promising situations that fail to materiaise into proper chances because we lack quality. we dont score enough goals because we dont open teams up enough.Originally posted by fred_plasticine View Postwell, we're toothless up front. simple as that. we create very good openings but don't finish them off.
this deficiency will be masked by the occasional brilliant result, perhaps when we score a wonder goal like johnson vs chelsea but they dont come around too often.
its exposed more at hom where teams sit back.
we need better players..simple as that.
and by the way , suarez was offside and fulham had their own first half chances. sending off was of course a very costly joke. kenny ****ed up by not playing max but he must feel under pressure to play carroll.Last edited by BG1973; 06-12-11, 10:14 AM.

At what point does being unlucky turn into not good enough?!
Keepers do seem to be inspired against us and we do seem to hit the woodwork way too often but perhaps it is more down to our inability to be clinical in front of goal?
We very rarely seem to find the corners, and more often than not the shot is either at the keeper or at a height which makes it getable.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

yes we never hit the ball away from the goalkeeper. except the million times we hit the post.
in my book, hitting the post is clinical finishing without any luck. it means we're aiming for those things, what are they called again?
oh yeah, the corners
except when we hit the bar, but still, it's just unlucky. that's 12 times the keeper hasn't made the save. think what 12 goals would mean to is right now if we'd been lucky enough to see them bounce in.dave of mutilation

Going against the grain here, but there IS a level of consistency regarding the Spearing red card. If you fly in two footed, and you leave the ground with your studs showing, that's a red. Yes Spearing got the ball, but he caught the player afterwards and it could easily have broken the player's leg / ankle. It was dangerous play. It would be nice if we could go back to when football was more of a contact sport but it's not going to happen.
The speed at which it happened, and the viewpoint of the ref, I can easily see how he sent him off for that. It was a reckless tackle. Hopefully he'll learn from it - I thought he played well apart from that and another couple of instances.
The Bellamy yellow was a joke. That should be rescinded. I don't think you can rescind yellow cards though can you? Which is another stupid rule in the game.K ris90210

Don't get me wrong, I think we're being unlucky but at somepoint we've got to say it ain't luck, we're just a team of crap finishers.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

He did get a yellow for it but you're spot on. Totally bollocks that he was allowed to shove Bellamy back with his head.Originally posted by MrNice View PostThought we were solid last night, Fulham are better than there record suggests and as has been pointed out holding both City and Arsenal suggest they have something about them.
I have to say considering we had Jay in the middle of the park, things were progressing nicely untill he got sent off. We were taking control of the game in the 2nd half.
But lets call a spade a spade, the referee or linesman time and time again intervened at key moments, you tell me any other game a player headbutts a player right in front of the ref and practically spits in his face and its not a red let alone a yellow.
Jay Spearing well he got the ball clear as day I am scratching my head on that one, I suppose by the letter of the law you could say he was not under control but it was extremely harsh.
We got nothing from these cunts from the first kick off, and they gave everything to the home side. Sometimes is rolls like that.
Unlucky very unluckly. We move on the world keeps turning

Enrique and Suarez are both guilty at the moment of trying too hard to the detriment of play, IMO. Every attack we have seems to be against a wall of defenders where we're reduced to attempting to thread a pinpoint pass. This isn't just because the other team parks 10 men behind the ball, clearly not the case last night, but because of the speed and direction of our attacking play. My point about Enrique is that he is hell bent on holding off challenges and retaining possession when he could be looking up and moving the ball quickly forward. Much of what Henderson did last night was backwards too. Is this because of lack of movement in front of them? Suarez has to stop thinking he is the only player who can score, taking every chance. His finishing from outside the box hasn't been the best and he'd do better to lay the ball off and make a diagonal run towards the corner flag to draw the opponents defender wide to create space. Instead, he's isolating himself in the middle and trying too bloody hard.
