I really can't see how the ref can book Bellamy for that and not send off Dempsey. What a ****house.

overall a draw would have been theright result. unfortunately, pepe didnt collect it and dempsey buried the rebound.

we missed lucas so much because he stops the opposition getting in between our defence and midfield. dempsey had a lot of joy yesterday infront of goal but we didnt close down the space quick enough. I do think we need another top draw defensive midfielder come january.

suarez behaviour is becoming a concern and his one finger gesture to fulham fans was out of order. hes quality but he will be targeted by fans and players because he does react.

There's only been one documented incident of him reacting to fans. He didn't react to the bitters under much more severe provocation, i.e. being pelted with coins and bottles.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think its quite obvious we are a team in transition, just over a year ago we were going into oblivion with a squad doing the same, Voronin, Jovanovich, Konchesky, Poulsen even Luke Young could see where we were going and knew it wouldn't be worthwhile, we have changed everything at the club, new youth team coach Mike Marsh, promoted rodolfo borrell to reserve team manager, new youth/reserve team players, new 1st team coaching/backroom staff, new manager and assistant, alot of new 1st team players and new owners, I think doing a few of these things we would have an excuse of being in 'transition' but renewing the whole club I feel we are doing a remarkable job and although I'm dissapointed at some of the results I can aleast see the direction we are going and the football we are trying to play and it might take longer than we hoped for 'success'

              My analysis:

It was an incredibly irritating evening.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

The bad results now are a hundred miles away from the deserved defeats, of which there was many, under Hodgson and Rafa's last season when the wheels came off.

How anyone expected us to suddenly start dominating every match is a little laughable. It's going to take time.

I think we have been ok in most matches (Spurs is the exception) and have probably deserved more than we have got in most of our defeats/draws

                    Definitely.

Which is something that can't be said since 08/09 really.

Reina got away with one in the first half too when he parried into a dangerous area and no one followed it up. He's been in excellent form of late, so hopefully it's a one off, same goes for Glen.
I'm not one to start slating players too often, but (exept for the save from Luis against the chavs) Reina hasn't needed to do much and has been beaten a bit too easily a couple of times this season so I wouldn't go as far as say he's in excellent form. And if you get a chance to see the highlights, watch how Glen gets turned by Dempsey when he hit the bar... exact same as the goal. The lad can't defend for his life at the moment. Its common sense not to let anyone get on the inside of you. OK, he scored against Chelsea. But how long can you defend - not being able to defend?

I'm so excited. And I just cant hide it. I'm about to loose control and I think I like it.

Most games this season I feel we've got less than our performance has deserved, be that in terms of points in the games we've failed to win, or in the margin of the games we have won. I tend to come out of games thinking how unlucky we've been.

We could easily have won the games against Sunderland, Norwich, Swansea, Man utd and Stoke instead we picked up a total of 4 points from those games

I can't remember Glen making many defensive mistakes since Kenny & maybe more importantly Clark came in tbh. Which includes a spell out of position at left back.

That was horrid stuff last night letting Murphy in on his right, instead of down the line on his left but it's hardly a regular thing these days.

But this is always the case with us. Thats why we didn't win the league in 2008/09. We drew something like 10 games and only lost 2. United can get the 1-0's when they play full on ****e! We can play well and lose and its so frustrating!

At least its only 4 days until the next match. Hope we hammer them and get Fulham out of our system.

                              Brilliant post!

I think the blueprint for how we want to play is clear. And a lot has happened the last year.

If I was Henry I would be satisfied with the effort from players and staff. Sure, there have been ups and downs and some players are yet to kick off properly but all the tings are there for the team to click. We just need time and patience.

Andy Carroll is the most obvious "flaw" in the team, but he is just one of the players and we didn't loose because of him. Some say it's money down the drain, but it's not as simple as that IMO.

If you wan't to compete for the honours you have to spend, and we have done that. Mancs have spent fortunes without their players proving their pricetags, and the manc fans I know were happy with the the contributions from Nani, Anderson, Berbatov etc. They dont talk much about price tags and neither should we.

Carroll needs time, the talent is there. That doesn't mean we shouldn't buy a forward in January because we need to encourage competition as much as we can.

I'd be happy for us to keep our current squad as it is. The only thing I think is a must is a replacement for Lucas. We need the best holding midfielder we can afford. Add to that a right winger and a forward and we would be sorted for years.

If only we had gone for Parker and Adebayor - but that's the brilliance of hindsight!

Well it happened twice last night, thats two times to often. One hit the crossbar, the other resulted in a goal.
