To be fair a lot of that was probably also due to Spearing not providing enough cover for the back line when he was on the pitch and the obvious lack of cover when he wasn't.

Don't get me wrong, I think we're being unlucky but at somepoint we've got to say it ain't luck, we're just a team of crap finishers.

No way. He came flying in at such a speed that he could have easily broken the blokes leg. Come on. It was an extremely dangerous tackle. If an opposition player had done exactly that to Suarez and seriously injured him, we'd all be baying for blood.

He was off the ground, both feet in the air, studs showing AND he made contact with the man. Spearing gave the ref a decision to make.

Seen far more contentious red cards given than that one.

I think yellow would have been sufficient. He won the ball and he got little over excited but there was no intent in his tackle.

It was that Dembele got air-borne, which made things look much too worse than it should.

In fairness to Dembele it's the smart thing to do. You don't want your leg to be grounded when someone could make contact with it. Being airborne turns a potential leg break into a bruise at most.

I'm not blaming him. I just pointed out to the fact that he got air borne made the whole incident look much worse that it was.

How many games is Spearing banned for?

                    Three, unless we appeal.

At least its only 4 days until the next match. Hope we hammer them and get Fulham out of our system.

We are the opposite of Man Utd, we dominate games and lose/draw them, while they can be completely outplayed and will scrape a spawny 1-0 win. That's been the case going back as far as when Roy Evans was in charge.

It's the playing badly and winning that wins you the title, they run of form that the scum are going through at the moment is typical of it, a number of scruffy 1-0 wins.

                      It's so annoying
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

There's no way an appeal would be successful.

For the FA to overturn a decision it has to clearly be wrong (something like mistaken identity). You could argue that by the letter of the law you could give a red card for that challenge, making the referee's decision correct within the laws of the game, and therefore now appeal will be sucessful.

Shocking really. Turning into a woman's game.

I'd of been sent off every time I'd played.

Can see us reverting to a 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 with Carra coming back in.

Isn't it amazing how when Maxi starts we seem to be ''lucky'' and take our chances but when he dosen't start we become the ''unluckiest'' team in the league. Truly amazing.......
