I do sort of get what Durham is on about Suarez is selfish at times but most good forwards are

With regards to Carrolls chances the first one was coming at him quite quickly and he probably hit it too well, as any poorer touch on it would probably have caused the ball to go to either side of the keeper

The second airshot he should have done better with, yes he was under pressure from Hangeland but I'd expect my forward to at least make contact with it

As a final thing and I in no way want this to be seen as being uber-critical of Suarez, however he shouldnt be allowed anywhere near our freekicks

      Its a joke

We sold one striker who cant hit a cows arse with a banjo and signed another who cant hit a barn door and made a £15 million profit

Dont know what the complaint is

I agree with you, that is why I said good, not great chances.

The airshot annoyed me because he just went to hit it as hard as he could, some composure would have made a great difference.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Jay's red card was certainly more of a red than Rodwell's in the derby.

A dangerous tackle to me is done with intent

There was no malice with that he had eyes on the ball and every attempt was to play the ball, yes he followed through but that was his momentum

I must admit I'm saddened these days, football is turning into a non-contact sport

FFS you cant even tackle these days

In 10 years time the only thing players will be able to do is politely ask the opposition to give them the ball

I think the complaint is that the 50 million Chelsea gave us was an opportunity for us to buy 1 or even 2 top class players and re establish ourselves as a top 4 team. The opportunity was wasted it seems.

The Suarez 'goal' was a tight decision. I'd say only just off tbh, but anyone who thinks it was very clearly one way or the other either either hasn't seen it or doesn't understand the offside rule!

Yep.....for me it was offside, but you have seen more than a few of them given.
An official trying to give the benefit of doubt to an attacker might give it, but there was enough of him in an offside position to be the right call.
Pain in the ****ing arse of course.

Not trying to start an argument here, before anyone jumps in with the favourite old chestnut - but for those who are saying it was offside, the photo posted here shows he's exactly level - granted for the officials, they dont get to see a replay or a still picture.

But once you've seen the still frame of it, i dont understand how anyone can even doubt that he was level. It's there for all to see. Isnt it?

The same picture in this thread? if so then the person who took the picture of the tv has conviently missed the the passer (i think enrique) and the actual moment the ball was passed so for all we know that still frame was taken before enrique released the ball

A couple of pages too late but I agree with Gary Neville, I think the Spearing decision could easily have gone either way. Imagine if it had been the other way round - we'd be up in arms about it.

I thought the Suarez goal should have stood but it was also a tight call.

However, even without those two decisions, the ref and linos had an appalling game. Senderos should have been off, Dempsey could easily have been red-carded, Bellamy shouldn't have been booked, Suarez could rightly have had a penalty, and there were so many wrong calls on less significant decisions.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I wouldn't be up in arms apart that Shelvey tackle if it was say Murphy on one of ours. That wasn't even a free for me.

The ref was useless the whole game and made a long list of mistakes which all went against us.

You can blame ineptitude but when all the mistakes are falling in favour of one side then it points to something more sinister. Now where's my tinfoil hat.
