I really can't see Kenny and Commoli not looking for a prolific finisher in January. It's going on too long now to say it's just bad luck and we'll paste someone soon.

A win is a win and I'm well happy but on another day against a team with some attacking intent we'd have been punished.

18 goals in 15 league games is poor by any top clubs standards.

Thought we were pretty good today but the performance missed the 'gloss' and 'slickness' that would've come if we'd found a 2nd goal and raised confidence a bit. Had we scored a 2nd, we'd have probably ended up getting 3 or 4 because their heads/focus would've dropped, our confidence would've risen and they'd have come out a bit more from the back.

But not putting the result to bed meant the last 10-15 mins were ****ing anxiety avenue, the tension and nerves were ****ing tangible.

Twice in the first half it seemed (i was at the other end, so hard to tell exactly) that Suarez put the ball low across the face of goal, but lacked someone to put it into the net. This happens far too often and the sooner we get a 6-yard box poacher, the better. We'd be battering teams if we had someone who knows how to be in the right place at the right time, and claim those easy tap-ins. There'd be at least 10 goals in it for him via that method.

January is coming: commence operation Poacher-find.
