    Shame if true.

Losing Maxi, Kuyt and Bellamy this summer is a big risk IMO and leaves us seriously lacking in experience.

Let's hope some new recruits come in soon

We still have Reina, Carragher, Gerrard and Agger as experienced players, I'm not to worried with that tbh. I would have liked to keep Bellamy on for another season, seems a good impact player with good game intelligence but he is not an irreplaceable player neither. We just need some players to come in soon...

      Squad is getting quite thin.

A lot of experience gone and good squad players who can score goals.

I'd love to have kept Maxi and Bellamy but I think they're both keen to go home. I'd be pissed if they went to other PL clubs but you can't begrudge them of a move home at this stage in their careers.

Gutting to lose Bellamy, great player, and real professional..

to lose 3 of our most experience is hard to take.. but if B-Rod has a pan in action then i suppose i'll have to trust it.

Uh? By all accounts this is totally out of Rodger's hands as Craig has his heart set on going back to Cardiff. Not much the manager can do about that really.

                What accounts are they?

Obviously I don’t think Rodgers is solely responsible for the likes of Kuyt, Maxi and Bellamy leaving, if at all. They were still under contract though so I’m sure if he pushed he could have held on to at least one of them, in particular Bellamy.

With £30m to spend I’m not sure we’ll be able to bring in much better than what we could have expected from Maxi and Bellamy at least for next season, so I just hope his long-term plan and the players he has identified as replacements are up to scratch.

I also hope reports are wrong and Bellamy stays, at least until Christmas.

Cardiff City are anxiously waiting in the wings to snap up former loanee Craig Bellamy if and when he is able to secure an exit from Anfield but that 'if' is becoming increasingly a 'when' after Liverpool have now agreed a deal 'in principle' to cancel the remaining year on Bellamy's £80k per week contract.

Bellamy has always remained keen on a move back to Cardiff City, and that may well be a condition of Liverpools acceptance of the deal. The Reds will be required to make a 'significant' payment to Bellamy, thought to be around the equivalent of £25k per week over the season. That, plus the bumper wage package City have prepared specifically for Bellamy, would see him not lose out too much and Liverpool would save the remainder of his significant wage - which could then be used to sign another player.

Many bookmakers have stopped taking bets on a Bellamy return to Cardiff City. Liverpool, like Manchester City before them, are clearly taking a financial hit to suit the play - directly benefitting Cardiff City FC. Liverpool could make the deal even sweeter by preventing him signing for any other Premiership club as part of his contract termination. That would scupper any late bids from the likes of Fulham and Mark Hughes' QPR who were hoping that the lure of Premiership football might have swayed Craig.

Following Team GB's exit from the Olympics, Bellamy is now free to concentrate on sorting his club future out with further discussions with Liverpool planned this week to determine the finer points of the contract termination. Following that, he is expected to undertake a medical and formalise his return to Cardiff City - with a likely completion date of next week.

Whisper it quietly. Craig Bellamy is coming home...

You're just pissed at Rodgers because he left your hero Ngoo behind on the US tour

I'll be gutted if Craig goes too, as I was when Maxi left.

If we really aren't making much of an effort to make him stay then I think that's down to wages. Bellamy is on £80k a week, so it will be another huge chunk of the wage bill.

Reducing our wage bill seems to be the big priority this summer, not signing new players, unfortunately

The 80k per week must be the reason why we are getting rid, just as with Maxi and Kuyt. Restructuring seems to be the key-thing this summer.

Bellamy has been going back to Cardiff since the end of last season, nothing to do with who the manager is.
His missus and kids stayed living there and as is common knowledge he struggles with his knees, playing at championship level isn't as taxing on him as he can play well at that level without training as much.

I might be wrong but I think his eldest lad is in the Cardiff age group system as well.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
