We need to make the right decisions, cross better etc. We are good but need to be better, we need better quality.
The major place we need better quality is in finishing

That would be a massive improvement

Even someone of Suarez's undoubted ability has massively underperformed in front of goal his conversion rate is something like 8 or 9% now

Thats woeful for a player of his quality

The average conversion rate of a top centreforward is over 20%

If Suarez was anywhere near this we would be laughing and thats before you factor in our other players profligacy in front of goal

I don't think Downing was as bad as some people are making out, but I didn't think he was much worse than most of the others.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

        LOL, course I have!

I'm still sad about the police woman, I've been refreshing gettyimages to get pics of the game as I don't have Sky or Sky+ and can actually see faces and contours properly on these **** streams, but she was a golden one. Some lucky **** will have her as a wife! And she's a ****ing police woman!!!?Q?! I just don't get it man, just don't get it...what if she's shot or stabbed on duty. Not worth it.

Downing almost jumping in shock when he received a couple of quick passes just summed his LFC career for me. Oh how I wish we had spent that £20m differently......

Look at United tonight, they demolished a team tonight 0-5 that we struggled against a few weeks back.

We will get better and are playing much better but we need to be ****ing ruthless, have more cunning and guile and play with some swagger and confidence like the teams of old.

There is some self belief missing from the players - it's almost as though they don't think they are good enough and they need to change that mentality moving forward.

It must be difficult for these guys because of the burden and weight of expectation on their shoulders. Years of history and success is what our guy's have to cope with every time they step out on the pitch.
This is the most attacking side I've seen at Anfield for well over a decade

We play decent football, attacking teams and create chances

            Our finishing is ****ing dreadful

Our goal tally speaks for itself

Yet we are quite high up in the stats in terms of creating goal scoring chances

That should tell you all you need to know

IF we had Rush playing upfront in his pomp no-one would even be talking about the rest of the team

              Downing was shockingly bad

I'm not a fan of his but he was dreadful

Thought Maxi, Kuyt and Adam were also very poor

Only Henderson & Suarez put in a shift in terms of our midfielders and attackers

Too many non-performers in a single game. So disappointing. Today of all days too.

I think the whole Suarez thing didn't really help. The ****ing anger I felt was worse than anything I've felt in quite a while, so the players at the front line must've been ****ing well angry. And although we started the game like we'd murder Wigan, and that must've been the intent altogether with the whole t-shirt support and whatnot, I think we just tried too hard and somehow the more you want that lottery win, the less it comes... we seemed tense and just not mentally relaxed and free-flowing. The UTTERLY decrepit pitch didn't help either. Jesus ****ing christ, how **** was that ****ing pitch, and I was watching a stream with poorish quality, it was literally like out in some ****ing field!

****ing hate playing Wigan. They really are the new Middlesbrough for us.

What makes it worse is their aggregate score against the Mancs over the rough period when they always get a draw or beat us is about 34-0 to the Mancs.

They share it with the Rugby league, although that finished a while ago the pitch has no chance to repair itself

Considering Wigan play a passing style it must be a big problem for them

It's not good enough to dominate like this and still not win mind but I don't think there's too much cause for concern - plenty of cause for frustration mind.
We had lot of ball possession through out the entire match but we lacked creativity to break their defensive line.

Normally we create lot of goal scoring chances but today it was poor all around.

Nobody stepped up and it is exactly these type of games that we have to win if we want to get in top 4.

It is becoming glaringly obvious that we will need to strengthen in few positions this January and I hope we buy quality first even if it is a single player.

I want to say the goals will come but at the moment it doesn't appear that way.

We need an instinctive finisher who will tuck the chances away, we have been unlucky with the amount of times we've hit the woodwork in matches but we can't make excuses anymore.

The midfielders need to be doing more to take some of the burden off Suarez, he will be burnt out soon at the rate he's going.

There's shouldn't be a "New" bogey team for us, there shouldn't be a bogey team whatsoever.

United don't have bogey teams they normally just hammer who they play against (bar City obviously who demolished them).

We need to get past that first and sort the mindset out so that we're out to hammer everyone we play against. Maybe the personnel we currently have aren't up to the task but it's frustrating seeing us under performing against the weaker teams week in week out.

We will get better though, the fact we're more attacking now than we have been for a long time is encouraging.
