Aye, when the commentator said 'Here's Adam lining up the freekick. He's a set piece specialist', I thought: "Well, haven't really seen any of that until now!" His corners and especially set-pieces have been very weak, in my humblest of.
That bit right there is more frustrating than anything else this season.
Kuyt and Adam have been consistant scorers from penalties, not so sure on Suarez's record previously.
We've gone from being over relient on Gerrard to now having too many players getting involved and making the wrong decisions (for example) Bellamy should never, in a million years have taken the last free kick, it was made for Charlie Adam from the right side of the box, and as ****e as he was last night I would have been delighted if he had pulled rank on Bellamy, showed some bollocks and self belief, backed himself and had a shot at goal, instead he stood back and did nothing.
Despite the lack of goal, constant hitting of the woodwork, some poor performances and refereeing decisions. If we could take penalties we'd be level on points with Spurs. Scoring 1 pen out of 5 this season is a dreadful record.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Still believe we can get a top 4 finish but it will only happen if we spend a considerable amount of money in January. We clearly need a quality striker but IMO a versatile, quality midfielder is just as important. Our midfield in the 1st half was good but got dominated in the 2nd I thought. Henderson and Adam are not players capable of bossing a midfield. Gerrard's return is not the answer either as the man is just not reliable anymore. We've been linked with Fer, Strootman, Diarra, Sissoko, any 1 of those players would make a world of difference IMO.

i have a feeling adam is suffering from "gerarditis" - a dibilating illness that stops you from delivery good set pieces.
he certainly has hit a number of corners that have either failed to get passed the first man or failed to get off the ground more than 2 foot. all thi "set peice specialist" must be having a negative effect on him.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.
Not been impressed by Adams set pieces, and that was one of his major plus points at Blackpool
His set pieces especially corners (BTW Downing are equally crap) were awful so far but to his defense he did have one good free kick yesterday that Kuyt failed to materialize.
All in all not enough from Adam and personally I'd prefer to see Bellamy take all the corner kicks when he's on the pitch.

Adam deliver from free kicks and corners has been very disspointing to say the least. What has surprised though is Bellamy's set pieces, guy has a lovely strike of a ball, very under rated IMO. (Well apart from that scuffed effort last night )
He at least showed himself as well - others hid imo
For me Henderson was the only midfielder who should be able to look himself in the mirror after that, the rest were sub-standard (and thats being kind)
I really think that everyone having a pop at Henderson should really look at Lucas, remember the stick he was getting a couple of seasons ago (possibly from them even) and back off. Henderson, like Lucas, appears to be a lad with a good head on his shoulders, and is trying to carve out a place for himself in a position on the pitch where it is impossible to hide. Given time and patience he has every chance of becoming a real quality player for us, some of the grief he's been getting so far this season is well ott for me.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?
