After watching this again there is a few times you see Suarez shaking his head in despair. If Carroll doesn't have the confidence of his teammates, even at training, he's likely to notice and be disheartened by it. Shame that, I think he could be a player who needs the confidence of others around him. Gerrard may help with that.

He hit the post with a thundering header in the Wolves game, had a few quality passes and key headers but then a couple erratic ones too. Its clear to see he's capable of producing a good performance. The fans need to get behind him.

You know mate, much as that makes sense, what i'd rather see - even though it goes against the grain somewhat, is Gerrard putting in crosses for Carroll. I'm sick of the ****ing floating, slow, random crosses that are easy to defend. Get Gerrard wide, whip the ****ing ball into the box with spin and pace, in between the defender and keeper where any slight touch sends it goalwards, and therefore the defenders are ****ting themselves what to do - and Carroll will have a ****ing field day.

Nail on the head! To much of this fairy ****. The one thing about Stevie is that he will cross in the positions where the angle of the cross alone is going to cause problems.

very good point, perhaps Bellers on the left, Gerrard on the right and Maxi playing in place of Downing.

Agreed about the crosses, not seeing any venomous whipped balls at all they always seem to be chipped or floated in which is much easier to defend against
