I'm still baffled as to why we don't at least consider Kuyt for being a forward. I think we have to play either him or Bellamy in behind Carroll. In most other games I would be tempted to play the pair of them, Carroll against makeshift CBs at his old clubs seems like something we have to try though.

Agreed about Kuyt........he's not having the best of seasons, and is looking more tired than usual, but given our current striking woes, he could give our attacking play some focus. A point which can actually trouble a defence with intelligent movement and hard work.
If Carroll starts up top his own, I don't think we'll have much change if Andy isn't on his game.

I like that idea but tend to think that, at the minute, we lack the midfielders to play it (although having said that Downing, Adam, Henderson might work).
