couple of poor mistakes have cost us this game

It's not over yet, we've probably had the better of it territorially and possession wise, but just no quality to hurt them.

We obviously cant concede again but a goal and it's game on.

we've played fairly well to be honest. reina ****s up again thanks to a **** touch again from dirk. those two players apart, the others have stood up and given it a go. Enqirue is a strange one, he is comfortably our best left back for a while, but he has this trait of over running the ball and cutting back inside over and over, plus he is useless within 30 yards of their goal, he makes runs galore but his crossing is poor. talking of crossing, enrique, adam ,johnson, downing nearly all floated crosses, they don't give carroll a chance.

It is clear that we don't have a player offensively that can take his man and I really hope we pick someone up with some trickery in his arsenal.

We are passing the ball nicely but in the final third when we need to make the final push we just don't enough quality.

Except that it doesn't seem to be a big deal of difference between 2 sides.

I have seen lot of positives today regardless of the poor result.

We played well. I like the way we play. It's pass, move, pass, move, pass move, even in tight situations. First goal was stupid. We don't deserve to be behind. Caroll is playing well today.

Of course not, but some of the nonsense some people on here post at times during games really is weak.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hardly amused we're losing 2 - 0, but to describe some of the things that get posted in these threads, week on week, as "embarrassing" is ****ing spot on imo.

There are positives.

Carroll has led the line well, especially without getting the support from midfield when it was 0-0 - and to a lesser extent, at 1-0 - but once we went 2-0 down, Adam was given licence to get forward.

We've pushed Kuyt up to provide further support and we've been unlucky; had that chance squirmed underneath and 2-1 is a different game.

The way Man City press means there is often space on the opposite flank, if we can switch it quick enough. Johnson can exploit that, but on the other side Downing looks devoid of *any* self-confidence.

Henderson has looked good, constantly wanting the ball and wanting to take ownership of the situation. A bit of impetus from Gerrard and/or Bellamy and who knows.

Stewart Downing has literally nothing to his game! Every time he picks up the ball he has no intention of running at his man.. I swear 9/10 of his passes are backwards and his desire is literally non-existent! Adam has gave the ball away too much but seriously he has a player out wide that doesn't seem to want the ball! I hate slagging our out players off but its getting to the point now were I just get so frustrated with him! He looks like a coward for lack of a better word.
