If you think about it, if you shouted Manc B*****D at the top of your voice I doubt on the pitch the M and N would come across that well, the M would definitely get lost as your voice is on the rise on the M, you'r only likely to hear the end of the word being "AnCK". If your playing for a Manchester club and have never been to Anfield before I think you could easily make that mistake...

If two have shouted abuse it represents 0.00005% of the crowd. Its a incredibly tiny amount and not in any way representative of Liverpool FC. And until the police release details might not even be a Liverpool resident.

yet Holt doesn't speak for Liverpool Football Club, and Liverpool Football Club does. Getting our house in order is our job. And part of that is making sure that we don't leave the club wide open for this sort of criticism. Because as it stands even to a Liverpool fan like me, I read the criticism and it seems justified.

Obviously we could have handled it all better, but only in the sense that we should have expected those who remain wilfully ignorant of the actual facts of the case to come out with the sort of sensationalist rubbish that has given credence to the idea that LFC condones racism and racists. My days of supporting LFC and watching football are over. Its just not worth it anymore, where's the enjoyment of watching a match? After this, you're going to have to justify why Liverpool and after the Suarez incident I've just become tired of it all. This has topped it off.

I missed the recent game, I read your football team gave a good account of themselves and your club, congratulations. I also read with regret that there were a couple of morons in the crowd acting in a totally unacceptable manner, I hope your player is ok, nobody should have to put up with that, I assure you as a Liverpool fan, I along with the majority of my counterparts do not condone such behavior and we will all be pushing to find, name, shame and make sure these individuals never watch another game at Anfield. Yeah i sent an email just a couple of minutes ago. I re-wrote and slightly edited/added to Nicey's version above. Totally agree that we should try and get as many people as possible to do this.
