They can't as their investment is losing value if they leave things status quo but the question is who will decide which players we bring in.

If Carroll, Downing, Hendo etc were Kenny's calls I cannot see them trusting him much with next purchases.

It's difficult to say but I imagine if they decide Kenny's not the man for the job then surely Comolli would have to go too.

Quite rightly they won't change anything now - we're only 5 behind Chelsea - but this ****e shows no sign of going away, it's been the same all season and everyone knows it's not good enough.

it breaks my heart, but i'm starting to be able to see the above as not crazy. would be one thing if he'd won us a couple of things already since his return, but the tactics and the signings... i just don't know.

still, he's our guy and he needs backing. he deserves to able to at least try and turn it around. something most of us regret that benitez never had.

I hate thinking along those lines, and I'm prepared for any abuse that comes my way for saying it. I'm really wishing for a stroke of luck here or a decision going our way there that might just kick things into action - maybe the Carling Cup will be a catalyst. I hope it is, I really do, but FSG can't be looking at this management team as viable if we continue to struggle after such heavy investment.

I don't see why Carroll is getting stick again. I don't think he did anything wrong, he just didn't get service.

Mate he's no good.. He's been here 1 year now, say what you like he hasn't shown a thing apart from the City game last year. A professional football that can't run with a ball or control it is unheard of.. But for £35m I'm embarrassed


Edit.. Obviously not his strengths.. But he doesn't dominate defenders like we were lead to believe either, easily bullied by someone of equal size.. No determination or aggression.

they are a fairly patient bunch, but obviously if things don't improve in the next year, kenny will rightfully be out.

i suppose they might act more quickly, but i wouldn't bet anything significant on it.

The thing about Enrique and Johnson though, we shouldn't be basing our attacking options around fullbacks; they should be auxiliary attackers, not the main threat. Any system that relies of defenders to get the majority of crosses in is not going to get very far.

how does our purchasing actually work, is it a mixture of Kenny and Commolli or does Kenny Or Commolli make all of the decisions.

I thought Commolli was meant to be scouting abroad, does he try and buy a foreigner and Kenny says no I want English? Who's has the authority to actually buy someone.

sure i read somewhere it was Commoli's job to find them and Dalglish had to approve them?

He's the most expensive signing in our history and we're short of goals, he's going to get lots of stick because of that.

Today though the issue was service today he had very little today. If he has good service and doesn't score goals then it's fair enough critisising him, but for me he didn't do anything wrong today, so the critisism is unfair. You could have the best striker in the world but if he gets little or no service he won't score goals.
