Difficult to watch that yesterday. So much possession again, few real chances not converted a problem that needs addressing immediately. I'm not posting anything new here, but we need another striker, someone who is clinical, can put the ball in the back on the net and thrives on doing that. For all that Carroll offers, he simply isn't doing this right now. The loss of Suarez is a pain, the loss of Lucas even worse. We've had a few seasons now where our 2 'superstar' players haven't been able to get much game time together. Previously it was Gerrard and Torres, now it's Gerrard and Suarez. Frustrating, but I've got confidence we'll pull through. On a positive note, it's good to see Stevie running around like he's in his mid twenties and Coates looked more assured and pretty classy

Gerrard and Suarez cannot single handedly get us 4th place. We need to spend a decent of money on the right players this month. That is the only way we can get 4th IMO, hopefully KK and DC have learnt from the ridiculous Buy British experiment and will now focus on foreign talent from abroad.
