It's not black and white lecter. No one is saying that Suarez should not be scoring more goals than he has done. No one. What I am saying is that there are other elements to his game that have made up for this shortcoming. I've no idea why you seem so happy to ignore this.

If you take a look at these stats (http://www.eplindex.com/7625/premier...pta-stats.html) you will see that of the forwards who have played regularly this season (I am not including Bellamy in this) he is third in chance creation behind Dzeko and Van Persie.

So just to make this plain as ****ing day for you. Should he be scoring more goals? YES. Has he played well this season regardless? YES.

I think we all expected Suarez to be a near 20 goal a season man. There have been plenty of providers in the squad historically who have been able to score that amount, so I do agree with that.

Kenny's disciples must really be getting desperate to defend his numerous mistakes when they decide to turn on our best player in Suarez. The fact of the matter is that Luis is our top scorer this season with 8 goals in 19 appearances and 6 assists as well, he is widely accepted as being among the best players in the world. He may be a poor finisher but his finishing would not be an issue if our manager had spent wisely in the transfer market and prioritised talent and ability instead of nationality when buying and selecting players.

          Suarez scored ****loads for Ajax
Carroll was nowhere near as prolific for Newcastle

Yet people excuse Suarez by saying "hes a number 10 and is therefore a provider" whilst Carroll is the focal point and was "bought as a goalscorer"

For me the club expected a return from Suarez in terms of goals and a return from Carroll in terms of goals

I frankly think the club would have expected more goals to come from Suarez than they would have from Carroll based on their previous records

I dont think they expected 30 goals a season from Suarez but I think they expected 15-20 and similar amount from Carroll (although towards the lower end)
You said they'd expected similar from Suarez as he produced in Holland - which was an average of nearly 30 goals per season. If there's a caveat to what you meant, then i'm not a mindreader mate.

The club expected more goals from Suarez than Carroll and that's what they'll get. As for 15-20 from Suarez - well they probably werent expecting an 8 game ban to interrupt his season.

But for that ban, i dont think it's unreasonable to think he'd have pretty much got 15 goals across the season. He had what, 8 goals at the halfway point? On course for the 15-20 goals mark, but for the suspension.

Seems black and white enough for me

You dont have to be a mindreader you just have to read my previous posts

1 goal in his last 10 would suggest he might not reach that

I dont think its impossible but I'm not hopeful of him doing it

I think we are coming from a similar viewpoint anyway

I dont think Carroll was bought to be an out and out goalscorer and I dont believe Suarez was bought as more of a provider than a goalscorer

Good point, well made. But I suspect you're talking to a brick wall in Lecter. He's turned on Suarez now because he can't admit to himself that our goal scoring problems this season are down to Dalglish's **** ups in the transfer market and not Luis.

Kenny seems a great motivator and someone who the players can look up to, but IMO his tactical side of the game is a bit dated, some his starting line ups, subs and setup have been a bit baffling to be honest, for me shows a wee bit of a lack of urgency when making changes to the game.(One think thats reminds me of rafa)

Kenny is a LFC legend and some people questioning his position i personally find ridiculous. We are a work in progress and he has made some bad mistakes, he is not the messiah and no doubts he'll make more managerial errors. Stuart Downing and Andy Carroll are looking like very bad signings for us, i think though we are unlucky with injuries & suspensions etc as i really don't think either player would be a regular starters for us if we had a fully fit and firing squad(well i'd hope not ). But people are trying to make excuses and sugar coating things, when if we're really honest Carroll and Downing have been absolutely dreadful for LFC.

Well given the witch hunt, ban and general cuntery he's been subjected to, i wouldnt be surprised if he failed to get 15 goals. Do you not think there's been mitigating circumstances, to say the least?

Do you think the club were expecting those things to happen?

Luis must have been a **** up in the transfer market then

No I dont think they expected it to happen

I also dont think they expected him to be so profligate either

My big problem is the excuses people are making for Suarez whilst not allowing Carroll those same excuses

                              Its ****ing hypocritical

Fine criticise Carrolls all round play and praise Suarez's

But lets not excuse Suarez being profligate because "he needs better players around him to enable him to finish", "he wasnt bought as a goalscorer he was bought to provide"

You could argue exactly the ****ing same for Carroll

Its ****ing pointless and its double-standards
