Stopped watching at half time we were that bad.

There's not a chance we'll turn to Rafa and to be honest it would turn us into a laughing stock. If Rafa failed then what? Houllier? Evans? Hodgson?

That said, Rafa should never, ever have been sacked. And I doubt we could attract a manager of his calibre now.

While generally we were **** all over the pitch, I'm staggered we went with Gerrard/Adam in the middle. Seriously, how was that ever going to work?!?

Carroll may looked up for it and he did have some decent touched ... but only because the rest of the team were so utterly useless tonight we are cutting him a break .. In a Rafa team if he played like that he would get slaughterd .. at least when Crouch was not scoring his on the ball skills, hold up play, dribbling was superb ...watching A Carroll play right now is like stepping into a time machine to the mid 80s and not in a good way

First half I thought Carroll was ok

He was one of our best passers (which probably says a lot for our other players)

Our fullbacks were shocking, really bad and the midfield offerred no protection whatsoever to the back 4. We miss Lucas badly he gives us a platform and whilst Spearing offers a little protection hes not in the same league

However without Jay we are WIDE OPEN

Second half I dont think we had anyone on the pitch thought we were really atrocious

I think people will argue tactics / selection not right etc... and possibly would have a point but Maxi played and Downing didnt (which seems to be a common gripe). Carroll and Kuyt there is no difference for me. Kuyt is finished imo

I'm not a religous person but I pray to the Almighty that Adam is on the chopping block. Absolutely woeful 'performance'; totally out-played and out-hustled.

Maybe that match will light a fire under Kennys arse. Trouble is he's bought 6 players so far and got 4 of them horribly wrong. Did he buy them cos they were prem proven or did he buy them cos he genuinely thought they are good players that would improve us. If it's the latter I'd worry about who else he'd spend money on.

Or maybe it was a bit of both, either way it's safe to say they haven't improved us and if anything we've gone backwards.

Now we have to replace the replacements while still having the original problem of improving the squad.

Henderson will be a good player for us in the future and Adam will probably turn out a good squad player

Adams problems is his deficiencies are being exposed when Lucas isnt there

Cant talk too much about that, we deserve a refund frankly. But while 4th isnt 'gone' we are clearly not good (consistent) enough to get it and to be brutally honest, i've reached the point now where i'm not sure Kenny is the answer. When the same problems occur and the manager cant solve them, then you have to wonder.

I believe the main problem amongst others is that we are missing Players with Quality and Game intelligence. I don't see the tactics and decision making any more baffelling then to what Ged & Rafa have previously done.

Kenny knows what to do, its a shame the players lack the quality to execute the plan. The blame falls on Kenny with regards to player purchases and their failure to deliver on the pitch.

Houllier had us very competitive for a couple of seasons before the arse fell out of it. Rafa did the same and the arse fell out of that too.

Time to move on, give Kenny proper time then look at options if we have to, but to go forward not back

You are surely having a laugh, I agree about Ged but even that was over a 2 year period, as for Rafa you surely can't be serious??? He had 1 bad season, I don't regard that as the arse falling out of it and since when did LFC ever sack managers for having 1 poor season??? Had the board shown some faith in the man who gave us back our pride, we would never have had the debacle of Bodgson and with FSG's investment we would be back fighting for trohies again, in my humble opinion.

I won't get into the shocking performance, but anyone saying Kenny should be replaced by Rafa should do one. I loved Rafa, and he will be back hopefully sometime in the future, after Kenny, but I hope not for a long long time. Kenny is the man. We asked for the King, we got him.

In terms of the team, the likes of Carroll, Adam, Downing are obviously not world beaters, they improved our squad, but not team. We are badly missing Lucas and Luis.

In this window we do need to act. we need a DM to fill Lucas' gap, or hopefully Jay can stay fit and available. Striker needs no mention. Those 2 are a must imo.

I wish some of the players would show the passion Bellers has been all season, ashame he can't play every game. Imo he's the £35m striker, not the one we bought for free. Carroll although has been slightly better in past few games. Still well short of Liverpool #9 standard imo, but things can change...

I could live with Adam cos at the price we paid it was a decent gamble.

Downing and Carroll can't be argued over as you say.

Henderson for me might be a good player for us but that's far from guaranteed and the fact is he plays most games yet he hasn't improved the team, so for me at 13m we got that one wrong too.
