He looks like he tackles like a drunk in a 5 a side match, he has no pace and can't retain the ball. He doesn't work and when hassled has no wit to make space for himself.
Yet earlier in the season Gary Gillespie was saying that he thought Charlie had the potential to be a better player than Xabi Alonso. After each performance that claim is looking more and more laughable. Xabi is on a different planet to our Charlie.

99% of midfield playmakers are on a different planet to xabi. The man is a passing god! But Adam hit a patch when his game upped a few levels October-November. But since Gerard has come.back Adam seems to have accepted he is the player who will make way for Stevie or be subbed to allow Stevie to play deeper and that has affected his confidence. I'd like to see Adam be a bit more confident and assertive and not allow himself to be the player who has to be sacrificed.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I don't think Adam has lost confidence it is just that since Lucas has gone his defensive frailtys are becoming more and more apparant and we are starting to see through him. He is too immobile and clumsy and has a very poor defensive game. I know he adds a few assists and goals but I would rather have a well rounded CM with a bit of everything to his game than one with only one strong side to his game. Saying that though even his attacking side has been poor lately, very poor.

What's our net spend? I guess we've spent about 100m last Jan and the summer? But we must have recovered at least 70m, maybe even 80m and reduced our wage bill by a lot.

I know it's good money but that's hardly huge when you have to rebuild your squad that has stagnated for 2 seasons and you have ambitions to be in the top 4.

The average age of the squad must be a lot lower now, which is a good thing, but we clearly still have a lot of work to do and I don't think we can wait for so many players to mature to the standard we need to be a top 4 side.

Well, us supporters can't wait. Maybe the owners can

The summer buys don't look too good right now but we need to keep buying. No one gets every buy right and some of the summer purchases may still come good medium term but for now we need to keep buying to try and get a couple more players that can make an instant impact like Suarez did while we wait for the slow burners to come good.

And I think the owners need to buy someone to get us all excited again because the results certainly aint exciting us.

I heard that we have been hamstrung in our transfer window because the Suarez situation took up all the time and effort resource wise.
Well, i'll say one thing for Abram'vic, he's there all the time, and really seems to care when they win or lose, it's his team..and not just a business, lot to be said for that really, and it has it's bad points too i suppose, maybe a sugar daddy is what we should have gone for after all.

Lets not all turn on the owners just yet!! They were at least expecting us to have stayed in CL qualifying spots when they bought us. They even gave us KK to help us get there.

Its still an expensive business for them and they have to get it right.
              One tit for another.

Bigs thanks to Hicks, Gillette, Roy and now partially Kenny for making me completely apathetic to football.

I would have Rafa back in a heatbeat.

Lumping Kenny in with Gillett, Hicks and Roy. ****ing hell.

Comparing Kenny to Hicks and Gillett is ****ing embarassing. Comparing him to Hodgson is too, but comparing him to those two cancers that nearly destroyed the club, is ****ing insulting.

Kenny was given the biggest war chest over a 12 month period any of our managers have had for as long as I can remember. He has not delivered in that respect which is why I used the word partial.

There was no comparison between him and the others intended but he has ****ed up and I wouldn't want him spending my money.

Even 'partially', Kenny doesnt compare with Hicks and Gillett.

                                Not even slightly.

You came out with bollocks there, when you bizarrely made that comparison.
