Arsed if Carroll did 500 cartwheels, or went off to sulk in a corner. We've just watched a fantastic performance by our lads there let's not cry over what some divvy on 5 live says about Andy bloody Carroll.

Feel sorry for that lad but he needs to knuckle down and work hard, success isn't going to come to him he needs to earn that.

I hope he stays and becomes a success but it's looking highly unlikely that is going to happen.

Top top match tonight, well deserved.

Hoping to see more of Kuyt and Bellamy up front together, they work hard (especially Kuyt obviously) and are both intelligent.

            No, not at all.

Kenny made it clear that he was a 5 year investment. i don't think he'll do anything to change that yet...

It's amazing the transformation in comparison to the Bolton match. The stern words by Kenny were obviously felt in the dressing room and everybody gave 100% tonight. No way deserved to draw 2-2 but it doesn't even matter.

he was immense tonight, kept silva relatively quiet!!!! and you have to have great defensive skill to do that!

Silva was just a wreck before the statue that is Steven Gerrard. Couldn't get past him. Know your role Silva you bitch. Your nobody when your taking on Gerrard.

Oh and did anyone reckon Downing had a bright game today? Thought he looked charged up and I noticed he stopped doing floating crosses and more driving into the box and looked like more of a threat. He had a few bad misses but overall I thought he done well.

obviously bellamy deserves man of the match, huge effort by wee craig, but on another note Skrtel and Agger have come a long way this season. There was never any doubt they had quality but now they are producing it fairly consistently. touch wood Agger stays fit because he is a joy to watch when he roams forward!

It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Yep, he's got far more ability than he believes he has. Rips full backs to bits when he actually drives at them.

Agree, for my sins i'm a big Downing fan and tonight was much more like what he's capable of.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't really fancy running Micah Richards (who would) but got a lot more joy out of Zabaleta. Hopefully the sign of things to come.
