sad because we dominated the game but spurs were always in it on the counter. Sterling was the best player on the pitch by a mile and sama too has come on so much from his early days.
both fullbacks mclaughlin and flannagan were solid. I thought that silva, sterling and suso linked in really well and what a trio that would be if they could all make it. Suso has tremendous vision and silva can do your head in at times but yesterday he looked a constant threat and he worked really hard. Sterling has obviously keeping his dong firmly in his pants because his mojo was back yesterday.
I dont think either rodden or coady played well and both look a little one-paced. We need people in there who can run games for us but neither of those look like they're dominating at that level yet. I had high hopes for coady but his lack of speed could do for him.
we've got jack dunn coming through and baio who both look very capable with new boy texeira so i guess there will be options there but not for at least another couple of years.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Well that was one hell of a game, never has a game been so one sided since Sporting tonked us. If Barcelona don't beat Spurs 10-0 minimum I will eat my own facial hair.
Our choking seems to be filtering down from the seniors. What was Ngoo thinking for his two clear cut chances? If we scored one-quarter of our clear chances we would still have won 3-1. That's South Africa style choking right there. Saying that Ngoo has shown much promise all season and this choker game will teach him so much more than if we had won. He was still better on the pitch than Coullibaly.
Anyway, was really, really pleased to see Suso and Raheem discover their form. Suso has a bit more to do but with Texeira, Beuno, Pelosi, Silva, Sterling next to him we can have a Barcelona style set up. The moment where Suso and Silva were one-touching in midfield brought a big smile to my face. Its taken 2/3 years but Borrell is finally beginning to turn us into a half decent yoof outfit.
Ironically I think Roddan was man of the match. He put himself about everywhere and the Spurs midfield didn't have a sniff of possession. Tackled hard, laid it off simple and won everything in the air in the middle.
Players just not good enough: Sama, Belford (both rubbish all season IMO) and Adjoran (too slow, and strangely getting slower as he gets older. Even at set pieces Suso has usurped him)One tit for another.

That makes for an interesting competition formatOriginally posted by el matador View Posthey lads...
apparently the tournament isnt over yet.
we played the loser from the ajax v barcelona match.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Sorry mate i dont but apparently we've still got two games left in the tournament.Originally posted by SB View PostAny idea when it's played El ?
theres some sort of ranking in place to see who finishes 1-8 and having been ko'd out of the quarters the highest we can finish is 5th but we still have to play another two teams to decide the final order.
Its good to see our young lads finally get some proper competitive football under their belts and although it was a really slow start they've put in a hell of a show yesterday.
If we had won 7 - 2 nobody at spurs could have complained. Oh yeah, the ref was definitely a homersexual.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
