Yes he is a young player and will get better but the question is if he a type of player that will be able to make a real mark on the starting 11.

Atm I don't he should start as to me he doesn't offer enough and though I agree with Lecter that Adam and him should be used interchangeable, his game requires a lot of improvement in more than few areas and I am worried about if he is mentally strong enough to become a top notch player.

For me, his contribution had been minimal to say the least since joining LFC. Seems to run around without actually doing anything and avoids any sort of tackling and just harries from 5 yards away. IMO him and DOwning do not have the mentality or aggression to make it at the top level.

To be fair to Spearing, he wasn't having a bad game, he just made a bad choice - as soon as we were two down, we had to sacrifice him to change tactics.

I agree with your point about Downing, he lacks any fight. Sometimes it's nice to see a player lambasting an opponent or a referee, but he just seems to let the game pass him by.
I agree with you about Adam, he tends to keep his foot in and gives away needless frees, But still I do think Shevley would have been useful today, I think we are too predictable these days and teams know how to park the bus and make it comfortable.

Also, it's more important for our league position that we beat arsenal and Chelsea at home..
Chelsea lost but Arsenal ended up winning. Worst thing is that Arsenal came from behind against a very in form Sunderland and v Persie wasn't a scorer. Seems they're getting their act together at the right time

Fair play to Ryan Giggs. Just watching it on Sky News and he grabs his hand and says 'good luck'.

Now they're showing Evra jumping like a clown with a bee up his arse. Reina was boss. He chased after Evra after Dowd pushed him away from Suarez.

Thought both teams were ****e to be honest - don't know how this manc lot are close to winning it again

All three goals were gifts & came from mistakes

We've not progressed since Kenny took over - we're more stable, yes but his signings especially Downing & Henderson haven't progressed the team - in fact it's amazing we are where we are with so many passengers in the squad

Downing especially - 0 league goals & 0 assists? Ridiculous

Remember KK saying after we made the summer signings that only time will tell if the signings had been bold or foolish? Unfortunately at the moment it's looking like the latter
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

              F*** off!!!

On the match itself, a woeful performance from the midfield.

Downing. Hardly in the game. Another terrible performance from the £20m man.

Kuyt. Continued his woeful performance against Spurs. If he's not scoring then he doesn't really bring much to the team apart from errant passing and wayward ball control.

Gerrard. Poor display. He looked like he wasn't fully fit and was pacing himself to get through the game. Irrespective of his position there was a lack of energy and dynamism.

Spearing. He just hasn't got enough skill to compensate for his lack of physical presence in the middle of the pitch. In some ways he reminds me of Mike Marsh, but isn't nearly as skillful.

Henderson. No impact on the game. One of his habits that gets on my nerves is his tendency to quickly lay the ball off to a team mate that is a yard away, instead of turning with the ball and making progress up the field.

Considering some of the players they were up against: old timers Scholes and Giggs, and less than dynamic Carrick, it was a very disappointing performance.

                    Cheers bud,

I've been for a drive to try and clear my head. Going to go have a bath and a read and hopefully nod off and forget about football and the club I love for one night.

Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Police forced to separate United and Liverpool players as Evra sparks tunnel bust-upBy Sportsmail Reporter

Police had to separate players from both Manchester United and Liverpool as emotions spilled over into violence in the tunnel at Old Trafford.

The Premier League match was already the centre of everybody's attention as it pitted Luis Suarez against Patrice Evra for the first time since the former was banned for eight matches for racially abusing the latter during the reverse fixture in October.

Fracas: Patrice Evra sought out Luis Suarez in the Old Trafford tunnel at half-time
Any hope that football might be the focus of the afternoon was dismissed even before a ball was kicked when Suarez refused the offer of Evra's hand during the traditional pre-match handshake.
And after a few more distractions - namely Suarez booting the ball direct at the dugout on the stroke of half-time - tempers boiled over as the two sides made their way back to the dressing room.

It was reported that Evra was intent of speaking with Suarez over the handshake snub, but found his path to the striker blocked by Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel.

That was the cue for a melee involving several members of both teams to become embroiled in a pushing and shoving match, which took up to five minutes for police to mediate.

Footballers pushing and shoving in a tunnel, jeez. ****ing stop the press.

Although, I wouldn't go through Skrtel.

Fair enough today there is excuse for giving a defensive interview, but a lot of the time, there is a belligerence that is completely unnecessary.
