          Just a thought and it's not that important really, but doesn't the man of the match at the league cup final normally get presented with a trophy of their own? I distinctly remember it being of a player?

              While I don't recall seeing Downing with it...........it's there on the presentation stand (on the right) waiting for him.

                He did have one, little gold thing. They seemed to skip the presentation of it to him.

                    Yeah I saw him carrying it off after the players got their medals but I didn't see him get presented with it either.
