That’s a bugger as he’s been getting regular game time at Ajax

Ajax head coach Fred Grim has admitted that Liverpool loanee Viteslav Jaros was in ‘a lot of pain’ when suffering his season-ending injury.

The goalkeeper will not play again this season because of a knee issue he suffered during a training session. Jaros has been a regular starter for the Dutch giants this campaign, making 26 appearances in all competitions.

Luca Stephenson captained Dundee United today, shows that they must hold him in high regard to captain the club as a 2 year old loanee

Depending on what he’s looking for I wonder if he’d be seen as a potential versatile squad player next year. He did well in preseason.

He might want to leave and play regularly but if he’d be happy to stay and try and prove himself he’s at an age where he’s developed enough to maybe offer something. I don’t know if he’s good enough though.

I’d think another loan but in a stronger league might be his next move but it depends on him . He is quite versatile though.

I wonder if we could replace Endo in the squad with Luca Stephenson next season? He’s equally as versatile covering CM, RM & RB plus he counts as homegrown.

I haven't see anything of him, but given his age 22 (23 early of next season) and the fact that he hasn't been involved in the first team here at all, and has only been on loan to League 2 and the SPL I would be surprised if we brought him back and had him regularly involved in the squad (on the bench), as it's still a big step up. But being homegrown and versatile obviously is an advantage.

He looked alright in PS & I suppose he’ll get that chance again. It’s not like Endo gets much game time anyway

I think the problem is when Slot calls on Endo it's usually because we are desperate not sure I'd want to be relying on a youngster in that same situation, also not the best situation for him. Also he's at an age where he will need minutes, if he's going to get chances that's one think, if he's going to be in the situation Tyler Morton was in last year not sure why he would want to stick around.

What is his best position? I don't see him getting games in CM (at present we have Gravenberch, MacAllister, Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Jones, and probably Nyoni and McConnell ahead of him) we don't really play with a RM, maybe as an option at RB given the injuries there, but again at present he would be at least 4th choice (behind Bradley, Frimpong and Gomez)
