It's difficult to say, I thought he was decent enough when he was getting games for us, but his last couple of loan spells he has struggled to get games at West Brom and Norwich. He could be a squad player for a PL club (and I think a couple of sides could be interested), but if he wants regular football he might have to play in the Championship for a while.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Sergi Canos scored his 6th goal of the season for Brentford, some loan are a waste of time on the face of it (though experience of regular first team football is always useful) but this one seems to be working out very well for all parties.

Danny Ward will return to Liverpool FC a better keeper says Klopp's pal

Liverpool will reap the rewards of Danny Ward’s loan move to Huddersfield Town, according to David Wagner.

The Terriers boss has thanked his close friend Jurgen Klopp for sanctioning the Wales international’s season-long switch to the Championship outfit.

Wagner, who was part of Klopp’s backroom staff at Borussia Dortmund, is looking forward to working with Ward, who has penned a new five-year deal with the Reds.

The keeper will join up with the Town squad for their pre-season camp in Austria on July 23 and the German coach has promised Liverpool that the 23-year-old’s development will continue over the coming months.

Wagner said: “I’ve spoken before about using the loan market to bring special talent to the club and Danny is another great example of this. That is why there was such strong competition to take Danny.

“I would like to thank Liverpool FC for the help the staff at the club have given us in allowing Danny to join us.

“Danny is a goalkeeper that Liverpool FC rates very highly, which is why he has signed a new long-term contract at the club. He did very well out on loan last season and I believe we can help him take the next step in his career this season so he will return to Liverpool a better goalkeeper.

“He is good with the ball at his feet, which is important in our style, but most importantly he is excellent at keeping the ball out of his net.

“Danny has had a very busy season that was extended by the part he played for Wales in Euro 2016, so he will be given some time off before he joins the squad when we depart for Austria.”

Liverpool loan goalkeeper Ryan Fulton to Chesterfield

Chesterfield have boosted their squad with the signing of Liverpool goalkeeper Ryan Fulton on a season-long loan deal.

The 20-year-old has come up through the youth ranks at Anfield after joining the club nine years ago and spent the second half of last season on loan at Portsmouth where he made 12 appearances and helped them reach the League Two play-offs.

At 6ft 3in, the Scotland youth international joins Danny Wilson's squad as they build ahead of the new campaign which gets under way in four weeks.

Fulton has been brought in to cover Spireites No 1 Tommy Lee, who will miss the start of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.

A statement on the club's official website read: "The Spireites have moved to lessen their goalkeeper shortage by signing Liverpool goalkeeper Ryan Fulton on a season-long loan deal.

"The 20-year-old has travelled to Hungary for the training camp, joining his new team-mates as they continue their pre-season preparations."

                            http://www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk/new...p-3178109.aspx

“We know quite a lot about Ryan. He had a testing time at the end of last season at Portsmouth where he was able to cut his teeth, so in that respect he’s now ready to step up a league.

“Losing Tommy (Lee) is a major blow to us but I think in Ryan we’ve got a fantastic replacement and potentially a first team player, so we’re delighted with him coming in.

“He’s a fantastic boy as well, we’ve worked with him and now he’s just itching to get playing. It’s a bit of a coup for us to get him here.

I’m hoping Ryan will be the number one for us. We do need another goalkeeper as well and we’ll take our time doing that now we’ve got Ryan.

“We were very fortunate that Liverpool gave us their blessing, and they seem very impressed by what they’re hearing from us with his chances of playing on a regular basis.

“Getting a ‘keeper of Ryan’s ability was our number one priority, but now we have got him we can now take our time with the number two. We still want that bit of quality, and maybe a bit of youthfulness as well, to take us through the season.

“It’s going to be a long hard season, so we’re still going to need cover in that position. We don’t really know exactly how long Tommy’s going to be missing for, so it’s very important that we get the position sorted.”

It's been a shakey week for Allens and Allans at our club; one has left permanently, the other on loan to Hertha Berlin! Great move, hopefully he gets lots of playing time in Bundesliga.
