Most clubs have financial difficulties and would probably find it hard to resist complying. Self interest is usually the only way. You could also give bonuses for the number of England youth internationals provided I suppose.

I'd also couple that with a limit on the number of substitutes over 21 on the bench.

As a club I suspect there is nothing we can do. We could try to pay people to play our loanees but managers would probably resent interference in terms of being forced into selecting particular players.
That sounds a reasonable idea, I guess the problem comes when you start linking it to a particular nationality, I guess doing it like the homegrown quota in the PL/CL probably works as well as presumably in the lower leagues the vast majority of players would qualify for UK and Ireland national sides.

That's a good idea, it is something we can do regardless of anything / anyone else.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Wolves forums absolutely ripping into Ojo, calling him a diver and calls to **** him back off to Liverpool.
I think in recent years with the likes of Sterling and Ibe we have seen how divided peoples opinions can be of young, dynamic attacking players when it isn't quite coming off for them. Not sure I would want to put much trust in such comments about him on forums.

Agreed but Sterling never divided opinion and Derby fans knew what Ibe was bringing to the table. Ojo I'm afraid is as good as our own Sinclair, i.e. youngsters we over rate but really are not in Sterling/Ibe class. Or anywhere near if I'm honest.

Kent and Wilson are the ones to really watch. And Wilson isn't pulling up any trees at the moment for whatever reason.
        One tit for another.

There were loads of Sterling doubters. I also remember lots of mixed reports on Ibe at first when he went to Derby. I've not seen nearly enough of Ojo to have a valid opinion but he does seem to get a decent number of goals and assists.

No Illori in Villa squad for City game.

Luis Alberto being called a 'revelation' by Marca during the month of October (according to Football365)

Him and Illori should be at the club, imo.

I think the loan is the right thing for Luis Alberto. He's not played that many games and last season his manager was stating he lacking the confidence to bring his ability to the pitch.

The Ilori loan seems to have been totally pointless, but if you can't get in that Villa side.....

Good to see Wisdom get a full game, injuries still weight heavily on the loan list.

Griffin Park just loves Canos - various post game reactions

Excellent today. Brought momentum and provided the chasing down that was missing in the first 50 mins. Could have easily had two, some good runs

I have rarely seen a substitute have the type of impact he had today: he singlehandedly changed the entire tenor and atmosphere of the match. With his first touch the game turned from being a soporific, turgid affair to a one full of zest and passion! Pretty remarkable stuff tbh!

He can tackle and seems to play through the player as though they are not there. Givehim 20 mins every game if we are not already winning.

Think we have to accept he will have off games. The lad is 18 and today he showed his talent. Its just going to be a case of him becoming consistent. Love his commitment and passion for such a young lad.

Great attitude, energy and enthusiasm coupled with bags of talent.
I just love the fact that he's barking mad, totally up for it and obviously loves his football.
And no Billy big bollox about him at all, his social media comments show just how much he's enjoying his time here.
Good luck to the lad, I really hope he makes it.

Yesil hopes Klopp will give him a chance.
Doubt he'll ever get to play here again. So far he's 1/8 in the Swiss league.

He is the only player who is outside Spain
