I can see where we're heading. Downing, Henderson and Adam will be good squad players next season IF we manage to buy quality reinforcements in their positions. With Lucas coming back and maybe another defensive midfielder, we're looking good (+ a goalscorer).

... and just notice, how well Suarez did as the second last player before a scoring. He is meant to be the one, who prepares a goal (and then from time to time surprise by scoring himself).
Caroll had a nice attempt to score - just overhit for the wide right post.
Kelly seems to have been told to go forward as often as possible to be an extra striker. Sad he didn't score on Downings well played cross. Maybe he is one to remember the way KK wanted the team to play, when he first took over - a lot of midfielders (and defenders) into the pen.box, to give more opportunities for a scoring.

Gerrard lucky to escape a yellow against Pienar - and Drenthe similar lucky.

Could have been 5-0 or 6-0 - and still not a goal to much.
