we go onto the next game and try and win as many of the remaining games as we can. we put our all into winning the cup. we then ship a few out and spend some serious wedge on quality players in the summer. we then have more heartbreak next year..................... I sometimes wonder if its more fun supporting a team that is fighting relegation year after year. you don't expect to win games and when you do, it must feel immense. thats half the problem with us, you get up and then you get knocked down again. you can never be up for longer enough.

yeh i hear ya mate, the lack of consistency really has made it into a rollercoaster. Too many ups and downs that take its toll.

We won the Champs League that season with Baros (and Mellor, and Pongo) as our 3 recognised forwards.

I dont see how we solve the missing chances thing until the summer

The defensive side of things is going to be tough - we miss Lucas the rest arent a patch on him

As for the back four you only have to look at United to see how the loss of a player can impact your back four (Vidic's injury has led to them being more open imo)

does anyone trust the current regime to get it right in the summer, to rectify our problem spots, to not spunk millions on shyt like downing, i dont.

Not really having this criticism of Suarez. Sure, he's not a marksman, but stick him in the Man Utd, Madrid or Arsenal side and he'd be twice the player, one of the biggest names in Europe. Our supporting runs are pretty much non existent and when someone does, i.e. Gerrard, he creates them goals. He's the luxury flare player who is being asked to do it all. If Rafa's team had relied on Garcia to create everything we'd have won nothing, but without him we'd have been missing that special something.

Another piece of genius tonight to create the 2nd goal and he's still getting it in the neck.

One of the couple truly quality players we have left and still he's been picked on all the time yet there are always excuses for Carroll,Henderson, Adam and/or Downing who are nowhere near to be put in same sentence with him.

Some of the signings have been awful, some are ok, some are squad players

The problem is that for the amount of money that was spent that is just not good enough.
