SPOT ON, IMO if we want to challenge next season we need to get rid of Carroll, Henderson and Adam, not give them time, they have had a fair piece of the action and aren't good enough to string enough good games in a row. We need a fox in the box, someone who comes alive in the 18 yard box, Suarez can do all the work outside it, Lucas i always wondered what he was all about, but don't half miss him.Originally posted by Mostar View Post
One of the couple truly quality players we have left and still he's been picked on all the time yet there are always excuses for Carroll,Henderson, Adam and/or Downing who are nowhere near to be put in same sentence with him.
The problem is that for the amount of money that was spent that is just not good enough.
Not even close.
Striker (fox in the box), Right Winger with pace (or give Sterling a chance), Centre Mid in the summer gotta be priorities.

We have a fairly average squad in terms of ability, but when you couple that with mental and physical weakness, we will always face plenty of dissapointment.
I was amazed that we actually managed to win the cup final on penalties, I was sure that Cardiff would win before the first spot simply because we are littered with weak minds. I think thats why we play well against the better sides, because we almost have nothing to lose. When we have games we should win like this, one mistake and the pressure is on the we crumble.
We need some seasoned pro's in and we desperately need some steele in midfield and defence.

This is the problem for me. It's not so much about the players. We were always going on about being one player from greatness, and I've never bought that theory. I don't think any of these players are actually crap, they just play crap because they have no confidence and no winning mentality. They are a bunch of spineless gits (especially Downing) right now, raising themselves for the glamour games. Kenny needs to demand that they grow some balls, and instill a winning mentality in this team. This capitulation would never happen to a team with slur at the helm sadly.Originally posted by Suarez View PostWe have a fairly average squad in terms of ability, but when you couple that with mental and physical weakness, we will always face plenty of dissapointment.

That's what we lack, belief. You could see it as soon as we conceded one tonight, and every time we've tried to hang on to a one goal lead over the years, only to inevitably capitulate. It's all about the mentality of the club and fans now. The belief in success is gone throughout the whole club.
