We controlled the match, played well for 70-75 minutes and we for a change manage to take some of our chances - and yet we end up loosing again. Don't think a whole lot was wrong tactically yesterday looking at how the game went, even if I and some other fans on the couch would have done something slightly differently, but we still controlled and deserved the lead.

To me it points to the fact that we lack a spine when facing adversity in this team. There are many players needing to take a long hard look at themselves and man up for the fans, the team and the managers sake that puts faith in them.

With Agger out I can't see any player that shakes things up and take a scream at the others, nobody takes responsibility on the pitch right now. Not sure where that comes from, but that how it looks to me.

Don't care if we finish 5th or 8th right now matter **** all. Just want the players to show commitment and willingness to get stuck in. Perhaps give Shelvey some more game time, and promote a couple of other youngsters to show the other players they are far from guarenteed.
I agree with most but I do think Kenny is leaving a whole lot of space everywhere, QPR had 15 shots yesterday, of which 10 were on target. It's too much. Teams routinely have something like 7-15 shots against us. With Rafa they had like 0-5 shots more often than not.

This is because we have an unbalanced midfield. Gerrard should play more advance or on the right, Adam should play with the reserves and we needed a new midfielder in january since Lucas held the midfield together practically on his own.

It's all about the one off glory games apparently. And they don't come much more glorious than seeing off Cardiff on pens in the carling cup final.

The end is nigh. (Sorry Kenny but you are failing)
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

That is just not true, hardly any game in football finishes with one team having less than 5 shots on goal. It's only the games where Barca win 7-0 that are within that limit. Almost any game a team get's around 10 shots on/off target. The other is wishfull thinking.

We might leave to much space at times, and to me it's more to do with the players lacking commitment than the formation/tactics. What other player would you have in midfield yesterday to offset that so called unbalance?

Frankly I dont think Spearing is untouchable

Hes not a good enough holding player, he leaves too much space in behind him and in front of the back four

Well, no player we have currently on our books. Adam playing for one upsets the balance. We are wide open but we need to be more compact IMO. Spearing does a job but he is not up to the level we need. Gerrard is playing to deep and Adam is playing.

And I fully stand by what I said, under Rafa we often restricted other teams to under 5 shots per game, Reina often had maybe one shot to save.

A better version of him is what need IMO, Lucas preferably But even then we also need someone to partner him who is not Gerrard.

Its a bit of both for me

Spearing doesnt offer enough protection and as such you have to rely on others to contribute more

They are either unwilling/unable and the moment they conceed heads go down

But Adam was not playing when we conceeded the 3 goals, so it was hardly him unbalancing us yesterday. I don't think Adam is good enough, but how can it be his fault?

And you might stand by it, but it's non the less almost impossible to find any team in that can keep an oppenent to less than 5 shots overall consistently, and that included the vast majority of Rafa's games. We where a better defensive team at the time for sure, but it's still not correct.

We've missed Lucas badly and Gerrard for that matter early on in the season

Some of the combinations in our midfield work, others dont. However it looks like Lucas is a must

haha really? i missed the game but from all the comments i figured he was at fault for all 3. Adam the LFC whipping boy

You cant blame Adam for yesterday's debacle

Hes defensively poor but other players need to hold their hands up for that yesterday

Ovoided the place after the result and slept on it.

I still lay the blame purely at the players. Obviously, Kenny still holds *some* responsibility, but we wouldn't have questioned the line up or the tactics last night, if we didn't concede three sloppy goals from individual errors and capitulate.

I'm still seething at how poor QPR were, yet they still came away with three points.

LFC at the moment runs like a ship without a rudder.
