We have a game in 3 days again and we need to try to rally the troops and salvage what can be salvaged so imo he said the right thing for a player using social networking to speak about his club but I know where you coming from.

In isolation, I personally think people are going over the top about how bad we were today.

We are in an absolutely terrible run of form. Shockingly poor. There is a very good argument that Kenny is not the man to take us forward and should step down with dignity in the summer. I honestly think he will as things are right now.

However, we were quite obviously the much better team today. As we have been in most of our poor results this season. Not all, there's been some awful performances including several in the last few weeks, and we obviously had some issues today... however in all but the "shots on target" & "goals" categories we battered them today, and our strikers missed several simple, simples chances. There is no way anyone can argue on that evidence that we are actually worse than Villa. Or most of the other teams we've seen this season. That doesn't mean there aren't massive issues, there are, and doubtless the manager and many of the players are to blame for that, but I also think frustration at the cumulative is effecting individual judgments on a performance in isolation.

Just wish more players had the same attitude, every game matters to him, it shows every time he puts the shirt on.

Paid £70 today and my six year old asked if he could have his Nintendo DS after 20 minutes.
I gave it to him - worst thing was three people asked him if they could have a go.

            Absolutely.

Same goes for Kenny too with his comments. He can't just come out and say "we're ****, I'm off in the summer and thank **** too, I should never have come back".

We have be poor in recent weeks, and the result was not good today, but we were by far the better team. Villa had one chance, took it and then hung on for dear life. Kuyt missed an absolute sitter, we should have had a penalty, we had a possible goal ruled out and Carroll should have done better with a great chance at the end. I think the players are looking at Wembley now, and that will tell us a lot.

I know he hasn't had the most productive season but still he pretty much carried us this year on his own and it is unfortunate that his passion, drive, desire to be successful hasn't rubbed off on our other players.

We need to get few genuine quality players to complement him as I really think we have a great player in Luis and it would be ashame to lose him due to lack of progress in league.

                      Really?

It's a big game occasion which they'll turn up for. It's happened so far this season.

In a league consisting of 38 games, looking at games in isolation is a bit pointless.

Yup. They absolutely HAVE to take Everton on with the same passion they showed in the game at Anfield (our only really productive showing this year).

I completely understand everyone's anger and frustration, but I've pretty much resolved with myself the idea that this league season is cursed (maybe by our own errors etc not by complete chance, but regardless the result has been the same), and that there will be big changes at the club in the summer, but that it will be done with dignity and in the interim I'd rather just analyse what we see in front of ourselves every week. And today we weren't that bad, easily should have won 3-1. Just one player with real technique and an eye for goal to play with Suarez (like Forlan has done for their national team) and I think we can be a different propositon next season, even if that probably will be under different guidance unless something semi-miraculous seems to change.

No it isn't. Harping on about something that isn't going to change till the end of the season, and a competition that doesn't mean anything at all to us any more apart from pride, is far more futile it seems to me.

Rationally, did you think Villa were the better side today?

Both sides were equal, the result says so.

Yes but I don't think anybody is in particular disappointed due to dropping 2 points today but due to consistent failure to be successful on our ground.

FFS we have more wins away than at home.

We drew 9 times and lost twice in 16 home games.

That is just terrible and it cannot be justified in any way.
