I think he was injured for a while and hasn't played for Hull this year..

Yeah, he's been out injured then wasn't able to get back in the side - but he's a whole lot closer to match ready than Brad is... he's a better keeper as well from what I've seen.

Wouldnt surprise me at all if he started. If he's considered a better keeper by the club then he's got to.

Yep the more I think about it the more it makes some sort of sense. Be an almighty kick in the guts for Jones though, dear me.

I think I stated on here recently that I quite rate Gulacsi as a prospect.

I would normally pick him ahead of Brad Jones, but as Brad Jones has at least played some minutes for us recently and Gulacsi hasn't I think that swings it in his favour.

Either way expect extreme dirty tactics from Everton at set pieces to unsettle our keeper!

gulasci, jones....even doni - none of them are half the keeper pepe is......it's clear that everton will just be looking to lump as many balls high into the box as soon as possible!!

our best form of defence will be to press high/push forward - if we get nervy and our defence drops deep, we will just be inviting trouble.

i also think that for defensive reasons, carrol will get the nod, and will be brought back for corners/free kicks etc

                    for me - i'd start

                    ---------------------------------jones-------------------------------------

                    johnson-----------skrtel--------------agger---------------enrique

                    --------------------henderson/spearing-------gerrard--------------

                    suarez-------------------------shelvey------------------------bellamy

                    ----------------------------------carroll----------------------

however i have really horrible feeling that kenny is going to pick a team that'll really shock us - so expect to see downing/adam/carragher coming in

either way - with agger/johnson coming back into the side we have some decent options and players on the bench with a point to prove.......

Just wish we had reina in goal! that would double my confidence to about notch one
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Yeah that was my thinking. Brad Jones is a poor poor keeper and im sure Kenny realises this. He was a Hodge signing remember and one who has not impressed even once at his time with us.

I think if Gulacsi had been first choice at Hull then he would have been an almost certain starter tomorrow but I just noticed he's been on the bench for them lately. Still he's better than Jones so I hope he plays

                              Derby County (loan)
At the end of March, Jones joined Derby County on loan for the remainder of the 2010–11 season.[7] Jones made his début in a 4–1 loss to Cardiff City and went on to concede 16 goals in his seven games at Derby, including another four against Burnley (2–4) and three against Norwich City (2–3). He came in for criticism from Derby manager Nigel Clough after his mistake let Bristol City take an early lead in Derby's final home game of the season, in a match the club eventually lost 2–0. It turned out to be Jones' last Derby game.[8] He was an unused substitute in Derby's 2–1 defeat at Reading on the last day of the Championship season before returning to Liverpool, after being replaced by academy goalkeeper Ross Atkins.[9]

Hi geniuses! Tomorrow we play the FA Cup semi-final against Everton! I can't play, but I'm sure Brad will do just fine! Anfield will be with him and the team to arrive to other final!
