That's true Alex and i'm on the waiting list too, so it probably would've applied to myself as well.Originally posted by Alex View PostThink Doms point was that if all the season tickets that were not being used by the person who owns them were put back. The people on the waiting list would get one quicker.
In mind you get a ticket however you can for a game as long as its face value.

Kick off is 5.15.....Originally posted by Buzzo View PostI'll be watching it from my sofa, having succesfuly won a ballot that allows me the luxury of the kids having their afternoon nap at about 2:30pm mpst days
If it goes to penalties I'll be fighting the boy for the remote controller to keep 'Cars' off the telly come 5:30.*Except Michael, who died.

Yes, one of the points. Every game guaranteed for a discount overall because the ticket is passed on. Also, no queuing for tickets and such like. It's a fortunate position to be in. I don't knock it. I would do the same. We do hear about Craig's sacrifices and expense that he goes to occasionally, and we feel for him, and rightly so. And we are honestly very sympathetic that he did not get a ticket for the final.Originally posted by Alex View PostThink Doms point was that if all the season tickets that were not being used by the person who owns them were put back. But, and it's just a small one. He's got a season ticket, and he'll have it next season (I assume) so it's not all bad.Oh I don't know.

Ah ****.Originally posted by Alex View PostKick off is 5.15.....
Problems. This means I will have to negotiate watching the game between the twin nightmares of both dinner and bathtime, let alone bed time if it goes to pens.
Still........ At least I know what I'm getting from Cars.........
Modifying post.

I get your point dom, but the difference between having a ST and not having one, for a fan who genuinely wants to go, is minimal.Originally posted by dom9 View PostYes, one of the points. Before i had it, i still got tickets and never failed for any home league game that i tried for, because it's actually easy.
A membership, a regular check on the website and making the effort to get up on the date of sale and buy them is all that's required.
The advantage of the ST is not having to make the effort to buy them on a game-by-game basis. But the downside is you have to front up the big lump sum of cash straight away, no option to spread the cost and unlike members sales, if you cant go to a game, you basically lose out on the cost of it (which you've already paid for upfront).
People often dont see it from that point of view. And it doesnt work out that much cheaper by the way. My ST was £725 - divided by 19 = £38.15 per game.
I also buy tickets on my membership and sort out mates & people who want to go but for whatever reason cant (or rather dont) buy for themselves and a Wigan ticket the other week cost £39 - so the difference was 85p.
Some games are more expensive but overall, the cost of a ST probably means you end up paying for 18 games and getting one free. Not that massive a saving considering you're paying for it all upfront in one lump sum.

Look at the bright side.
And if you want to pass the ST on and pay for just the games you go to, you know where to come.
I'm sure i know
No benefits i enjoy from the ST are 'lucky' dominic, that's all i'm emphasising
