which free scoring liverpool player would you suggest he pass it to?

And I am pretty sure if some of those liverpool players actually got into the box more often, he would pass more often

Sell Suarez and watch us fall into proper mid table mediocrity.

Im sure Scott Sinclair will do just as good a job.

I certainly wouldnt rule it in or out either way money would talk for me
I cant offer any scientific substantiation for this, but i am convinced that if Suarez was in a side surrounded by a few more quality players, the reduced burden on him (added to the psychological factor that is affecting EVERYONE, when it comes to goalscoring IMO) would lead to him taking far more chances.

He wouldnt be the world's most clinical finisher, but he'd comfortably convert an acceptable percentage IMO.

In fact, even without massive changes to personnel, i personally dont think it's so far fetched that, come next season, a fair percentage of these chances will be going in.

As i said, it's become psychological now, it's the big elephant in the room, everyone knows LFC dont convert chances - so when they come our way, it's inevitable that the pressure is there in the mind of the players, even if it's subconscious.

Come next season, the summer will have provided a sizeable enough period of time to put this behind us, the slate will be wiped clean and this issue will have minimized. As i said, i cant quote a scientific forumula to back that up, but with your 36 years of experience watching the game, you'll know as well as i do that quite often, there's NO scientific reason for things and quite simply, when a question about something is asked, the answer can often only be "that's just how football is sometimes".

I'm not convinced the current squad of players will significantly improve their goalscoring

Yes you will have the "thats just how football is sometimes" effect and they may score more than they have done this season

But not enough to significantly matter imo

It would be suicide to go into next season without purchasing a genuine goalscorer

Given our transfer record of the last 2 years, I would be petrified of selling anyone with an ounce of class. Even if we sold Suarez for 60 million, I just don't trust our scouts to come up with reasonable replacements.

Even converting half of the missed chances would make a fairly significant difference. And that's before you look at penalties!

In no way is our league position acceptable but likewise, in no way can winning trophies be deemable as unsuccessful.

If the carling cup is all we win this season, then I would happily give that back for 4th place.. (CL)

I've already said i'd give up both cups for 4th. Are you just repeating my point to me?

Both Roy and Kenny have one league win at Anfield this year

No we aren't. We are a team thats had a poor season league wise, but we are a rebuilding squad that has reached two cup finals in one season, and so far won one of them. We can beat anyone on our day as we have shown over the course of this season.

I hate to go a bit Chris but people constantly getting at the players is starting to do my head in, I get it, criticse them if they are playong badly, but some of it is so over the top it is untrue.

Ask 99% of people who our best players are, I gurantee to you they will say Gerrard, Reina or Suarez and ive seen all 3 of them being ridiculed this season, people saying Gerrard is **** Suarez cant score Reina is past it, but somehow manage to turn Carroll into Messi when he wins a flick on. Carrolls included in this, slated no matter what, same with Downing Henderson and now Enrique who I think has been fantastic this season. Think someone said sell him? Yeah the only constantly fit good left back we have had in years, definately sell him

Suarez is the best signing we have had since Torres, he is also the only flair player we have, and if some of you have seen him playong for Uruguay you will have seen exactly how good he is with players like Cavani round him. Selling him would see our attack turn one dimensional, defenders are scared of Suarez, and I reckon a good perecentage of our goals are created because defenders are occupied with him or hes won a freekick or corner, but no we should sell him because he has hit the post a few times.

Fwiw Im happy with our current squad and believe it only needs to be built on not dismantled, 3 more good players and a gopd attitude and watch us get back into the CL.

This bit I agree with. Three quality attacking players and we will be challenging for the top four.
