It looks to me, that Rodgers is deliberately employing techniques he has learnt. Be it body language, motivational techniques or whatnot. He comes across as a person that has studied this kind of thing extensively. Maybe he has, maybe he hasn't - I don't know. But I have never come across anyone communicating like that naturally.
Man, he manages people .. he manages kids, he manages men, he manages elite athletes .. there are many styles of management, his is one of them, one which is overall very effective, I am telling you a lot of players will like chessy or not, being aside and told, you, you can do A job for me, and a lot of other players will see those chats and it will motivate them to try and be that player he picks, then there will be older players who perhaps may be too long in the tooth for that kind of motivational techniques ... but they should have the maturity to realize this is possibly the youngest squad in the Premiership, young players need that kind of coaching ...

That said the world is just full of ****ing haters ... would it be too much to ask for fans to say, that was a good insight into the club which we would not normally get, is it going to win a Emmy no , but hey its LFC content .. I enjoyed it ... I like Rodgers, I like what he is trying to do, and mores the point he is The Liverpool FC manager, I respect that, a great deal.

Kirby is cheesy, but US audiences lap up that kind of cheese . I like him anyway

I love the little stifled laugh he does at the end of each poem. It reminds me of a happier version of this little "heh" at the end of this hilarious clip

I also wonder how many times especially as an established player you could sit through one of his team talks before you switched off and sensed bull****ter. He's Mr cliche.

Though I think he may succeed because of the young players that won't know any different. They'll take on his ideas better.

Also saw a side of reina that wants him to regain his form. Comes across really well.
The thing is a week later he goes to West Ham and pulls his hamstring so what he was telling him was right. If he'd played that game and got injured we'd have been stuck with him (in hindsight probably would have been a good thing.)

So ok let me get this straight ... a football manager is out on a football pitch in Scotland in late autumn, talking to a player he has his hands in his tracksuit pocket and thats somehow body language for disrespectful .. tenuous at best ...

What are his options ... arms crossed ...owwee stand off ish
.................................Behind his back ... aloof ..
..................................in his pockets .... disrespectful ..

I know he should have got a jockey back off Andy .. gave him a big old bromance kiss and said ... Hey matey .. dont run soo hard on that leg of yours pal .. yous the best and I dont want to lose you ever .. you guy .. ok .. run along now you big geordie hunk

Haha jezzz .. Hey Andy ... Hey Andy .... You ! You da man

                        interesting choice of circumstances there.

so again are you saying body language is not a part of how we comunicate with each other?

Nicey, the great communicator. And never one to miss a point.

                          Oh I don't know.

Body language in the right context sure, but as somebody who has been reading peoples body language professionally for 20 years, I would say in the context of a cold football training pitch in Scotland a man has his hands in his pockets whilst speaking to another man is probably not a hey **** you pal signal some people on here seem to think it is ...

Players always want to play, even when its not in there best interest, Andy was saying play me coach, put me in, he it would seem rightly now .. thought that Andy did not know what was best for him and was trying to tell him as respectful as he could I thought .. your fit you play ... kudos to you Andy ... but Andy ... you are carrying a slight knock ... it wont help anyone .. if you tweek it ... go easy on it ... nothing more nothing less

                              some quite funny...

The reds' passing in the 80s was so crisp and smooth, we couldn't even teach ya // Jonjo Shelvey's head is smooth, thanks to alopecia.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Nicey, can you PLEASE cut out the aggressive tone in your responses. It's not befitting good debate and just pisses people off.

And count yourself lucky that you had me warning you, as Alex The n00b was all for straight up banning you.
