Well, pretty much all managers are egotists. That goes without saying.

I can't comment about the creepy thing as I've not said it, but I think that it's probably tongue in cheek.

Re the blagger comment, as Neil has rightly said, we can't be sure either way and it doesn't really matter - it's the results that matter the most and those will determine how long he stays for. But, based on what I have seen with my own eyes on the TV, I don't think I could seriously work for somebody who talked like that. Have you seen Shaggy's edit in the post match thread? That is exactly the type of thing he comes out with in team talks and in interviews. I think his method of communicating might probably work well with the youngsters, but for men in their late 20s to mid 30s who have been around a bit?

That said, it is a fascinating insight into the team collectively and individually and I'm sure it is an accurate portrayal. It makes you wonder how Rodgers contrasts with the likes of Kenny, Rafa, Wenger and even Feruguson.

What is your opinion of him, based on our worst start in the league for 60 odd years, or the programme for that matter?
    Oh I don't know.

This is true, and it drives me nuts.

I think people are more prone to think he's full of **** due to the fact he never made it to the highest levels as a player. I'm in the "he's highly intelligent and has soaked up knowledge from the right people thus far" group...for now.

I was a bit concerned by that '3 people who will let us down' bit. A totally bizarre bit of negative motivation, I've come across a lot of management and motivation techniques in my time and this just doesn't seem as though it will ever work?

I dunno, it would be a lot easier watching all this **** if we were winning a few games... Even the documentary struggled to get a positive spin in the last episode.

That "3 who will let us down" thing is bloody weird.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                  Oh I don't know.

This cult of personality of Brendan Rodgers is way too over the top in this series. You'd think he were a multiple time PL and CL winner judging by the way he's being depicted.

And Dave Kirby is cringeworthy and embarrassing.

It smacks as something from a management course or book. I reckon he ****ed it up though. Surely having written down 3 people who will excel over the season is a far better motivation tactic? Having everyone compete to be one of the best 3.

Negative reinforcement rarely works, and definitely not on a group.

It is in a pre WBA team briefing in Episode 4.

or, The depressing episode (build up to WBA).

Ah right, not seen that one yet.

What do people think of the way he often singles one player out for praise in front of the group? Does that work? Is it a good thing?
                          Oh I don't know.

                            That's a great question, dom.

Does everybody see what a great question that is?

                            Dom, well done.
                            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Can you provide a great answer though? Can anyone?

That doesn't matter. If we go about our business, asking the right questions, then the answers will take care of themselves. So, dom, well done. Well done.
