Seeing Rodgers taking a bit of a beating from people on my facebook who aren't even into football. Saying he comes across as a know it all with his meaningless platitudes.

I haven't seen the past two episodes, but can't help but feel this show will do more harm than good. Especially while results remain poor.

This is it in a nutshell. He should not have this level of exposure this early in his career. Coupled with shocking results... Well you don't even need his patter for it to be a 'potential' recipe for disaster.

Ah f*ck it, if it doesn't matter what we think, it certainly doesn't matter what people who aren't into football think. They'll soon move on to something else, like Strictly or why Jimmy Savile should be brought back to life and then executed.

They could be talking about how the Tories are making the poor pay for the bankers' bonuses but instead they're bleating about inconsequential stuff like Rodgers having a picture of himself on his wall. Tossers.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

            Is that what you think?

              Yes.

And you agree with it too.

I do agree. It'll all blow over, but the club can't be too pleased with how this is going down with a lot of people. Not just people who aren't into football, people who support other clubs (as though they needed more ammo!), but even amongst our own support!

Oh I dunno. You could be right but I'd have thought they're not too bothered about the reaction. There have been no terrible embarrassments, aside from Ian Ayre's Easy Rider fantasy/midlife crisis, and people are always going to find things to moan about. They know it's all about results - if we were winning, no-one would be bothered about it. Because we're not, they are. If they're even aware of the muttering from the fanbase I suspect they'll feel the series is just a lightning rod.

Hopefully you're proved right once results start to turn (and I think they will).

Who cares what Mark Lawrenson thinks. I've watched all 3 episodes now and enjoyed them because of the insight they give you into the club. I don't see how it could have a negative effect on performances, as if anything it should make the players focus more because of the extra eyes on them

The point is that the football fans I know who support Liverpool and other clubs are talking about it. Whether you think it's full of **** or not, people are interested and are watching, which is the whole point. I think they are all coming across pretty well actually. The players are very likeable.

Of course, Rodgers looks a little naive at this moment because we are losing and questions are being asked. If we were winning people would be giving more credence to his methods.

Finally some sense among all the ****in moaning on this site.
Maybe it's typical for all forums to attract negative moaning *******s?

I've really enjoyed it apart from the elitist attitude on display from some of the professional scousers they've dragged on for colour.
They do my head in at the match never mind on TV.
