Challenge 4th easily. No one thought we were going to go for the title.

How do the FFP rules make it harder for us? City have still got a huge wage bill and whatever they make in the CL (along with other revenue) has still got to cover future operating costs and transfers - players don't last forever, you know. And whatever that revenue is, it will be less than if the Sheiks still had carte blanche to throw in a hundred million here and there.

From day one FSG have maintained that they will only spend what the Club generates, so the FFP rules can only close the gap between us and those Clubs that are funded in large part by benefactors.

Talking of assists... and this moneyball statistics thing...

Lukaku has more assists this season than Downing.... and he has played less than 90mins all season... Moneyball my arse! Doesnt work in "soccer".

Funny thing is that we were challenging for 4th until our league cup win. So, plenty of assumptions are allowed.

We should get our priorities right. Stick our reserve team for the league cup and prioritise the league. We haven't done that but there's the argument that we should play for trophies, so in that respect we've not done too bad (bar our poor FA cup final showing).

I want to forget this season.
          Are we winning?

We didn't use moneyball at all, not unless it was done by someone who failed GCSE maths.

We won 4 games since new year, that is over a month before the Carling Cup final.

FFP means absolutely jack ****. Its a complete waste of time. All a sugar daddy has to do is build a training ground or stadium and sponsor it with a company he owns or is connected to for exactly what he wants to spend on players and wages and bang! all sorted.

I think that it won't be implemented in the spirit it was intended and there will be some 'workarounds' but I was agruing from the point of view that it was implemented fairly, and there is no doubt in my mind that if it was implemented fairly it would be nothing but a help to us in closing the gap to the benefactor-supported teams.

We were 6points off fourth place when we qualified for the C/Cup final.

We were 4 points off fourth place going into the C/Cup final

We averaged 1.5 points a game until the C/cup final

We Averaged 1 point a game after the C/ Cup final

yeh, they can offset the investment in yoof and infrastructure. city are buying up all the area surrounding the council house/eastlands/ethiad and will turn it into a state of the art training facility.

this win of city's will be the start of a dynasty. it might take another year or two for them to add a little more balls to the team, but apart from the odd blip i think most other teams will be playing for places. they will then cream all the kids [arsene?] from around the world and put them to work at the new city academy, so they wont need to spend massively on bringing in players, other than the odd marquee signing...

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
