Quite a simplistic way of looking at it. Look at the players Martinez has been forced to sell? He hasn't had the same freedom in the transfer market as Bruce and he's still kept them up, and playing football.

I'm looking forward to seeing who gets the job. I think it will be exciting whoever gets it initially.

But let's all be honest. Let's stop wanking over all the tactics and formations utilised by the managers linked with us.

Every single manager we seem to have a chance of getting, is gonna be nowhere near the Chelsea job. Does anyone think Martinez or Rodgers will be interviewed by Roman? Would they be linked to the Manc job if either club let their manager go? Would they ****e.

We have slipped a long, long way, make no mistake about it. That is the reality.

In 08/09 Wigan finished 11th with a GD of -11. RM gets the job. Wigan finish 16, 16 & 15 with a GD of -83. How does that qualify you for LFC

I bet Andy Carroll cost more than the whole Wigan squad in its entirety and they finished 9 points behind us. I'm not knocking Kenny Dalglish, but we had a vastly superior squad of players and invested heavily in new additions yet managed to amass nine more points than Wigan. Comparing results between different sets of players is pointless. If Martinez could have brought in tens of millions of pounds worth of new players each season then he might have been competing for a top half position with the likes of us, Fulham and West Brom.

But if you look at the last 7 games, then he is a top top manager.....

Also, his teams play attractive football....it's not all about the results is it.......ohh wait, that's why Kenny got the bullet!!!
