I'm pissed.
I've read people's various comments and I'm going to form my own opinion.
I backed Hodgson when he became our boss because I believed in him. I thought Fulham played some good stuff under his management and thought he'd be a success for us. Even when things were going pear shaped and people on here were having a go I still backed him.
Little did I know or realise what an awful manager he really was. I don't like slagging people off or having a go but that's what lots on here were doing at the time and justifiably so.
I hold my hands up and admit I got it wrong with Hodgson. I must admit that I am feeling the same about the potential appointment of Martinez. At first I was positive and optimistic about him potentially becoming manager but after reading through a lot of the posts these past weeks I've realised that I have a poor judgement of character which has embarrassed me.
Clearly there are people on here who know more about the game and our great club than I ever could and for this reason alone I am willing to trust my fellow fans when it comes to knowing what's best for our club and I am going to have to agree that I don't think Martinez is the way forward.
On the other hand I like him, he has a nice persona and is a very likable guy unlike Hodgson who is a bumbling fool. I also don't think he's a negative person like Hodgson but I admit I am worried about the amount and ease of goals conceded by his Wigan teams down the years.
I give him credit for having an eye for talent and unearthing some quality young players but he's not right for us just yet. We have to move for someone more experienced who has been successful at the very highest level if we are going to move forward as a club.
If he is that man, then he will get my backing 100% but I don't believe he is.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

When Hodgson was appointed I feared the worst from the very start. The only positive thing his ex players could say about him was that he organised his team. I don't ever remember a Hodgson team playing good football. I am a lot more optimistic with RM, Wigan played good football for a bad team and he showed that he is capable of throwing in a plan B i.e. 433 to 343. Looking forward to seeing him appointed to be honest.

This feels much more positive than the appointment of Hodgson. It could go spectacularly wrong, but it could really work out. I am willing to embrace the possibility that Martinez could be the right man at the right time.
