I didn't know any who didn't want him to go, maybe with hindsight we should have kept him, but back them the majority wanted him out.Originally posted by Vermilion View PostReally, i thought it was more a loud and vociferous minority ?
edit: But that's a whole different debate, that i'm not getting into. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

I spent months suggesting that we wouldnt be bringing in people like Mourinho etc.. but would end up downgrading

And now he's the England managerOriginally posted by Lecter View PostThe fan revolt over Roy wasnt just because he replaced Rafa, it wasnt just because he got the job over Kenny, it was because many of us thought he just wasnt good enough for us and was a downgrade
It wouldnt matter who endorsed that he just was not LFC standard and he proved that in the 6 or so months he was here
Roy compounded that with idiotic comments, **** tactics, **** signings and all round **** football

A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I didn't want him to go either. Despite that one bad season we had been improving year on year since he took over. We have gone through the same this time round with Mourinho, Pep G, etc all mentioned as replacements despite looking totally unlikely.Originally posted by Lecter View PostI didnt want him to go

I say that but I am sure we should have more pulling power than Martinez and Rodgers. Since when did finishing 11th and 15th qualify you for the LFC job.Modifying post.

Roy is teflonOriginally posted by Rowan View PostAnd now he's the England manager

You look at the press they dont blame him for failing, it was either (insert one of the following below)
A) Rafa for giving him a ****e squad
B) the owners for not backing him in the transfer market
C) the fans for not giving him a chance
D) Kenny Dalglish for hovering behind him with a knife
The only person not to blame is Roy

If we are looking at Rodgers & Martinez we should also ask Laudrup in for an interviewOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostI didn't want him to go either. He plays the same style of football and didnt get his side high in the table either
There are so many other managers we should be talking to and thats before you even get to the huge elephant in the room that should be impossible to ignoreBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Not really getting excited by these names for the job. Hopefully he has only been approached for an interview as opposed to being offered the job.Originally posted by Bender View Postsky saying Brendan Rodgers to meet his swansea chariman today to discuss liverpool offerIt's a prediction thread on a wish list.
