What a ridiculous thing to say ... You do realize that football clubs exist for the supporters, not for the owners? I am aware of the consumers mentality that has developed over the last 2 decades, but Anfield would look pretty awful with only the Board sitting in the director's box during the matches ...Originally posted by Mattshark View PostDo you own a stake in the club? Simple fact is that no matter what you think, you don't have a right to be part of the decision making, you where not consulted when we appointed Rafa where you? Did you expect consultation on the appointment on Houllier? No, you are being hysterical.

Hmmm, surely we all own a stake in the club as fans.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostDo you own a stake in the club? I know it's not a popular idea these days as more and more fans are pushed away from the game in favour of sponsors, media companies and corporations but fans are the lifeblood of the game.

No, you are consumer, you do not own the club so you don't have a say. Get over it, you don't run it. The owners do, hence they are the owners.Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostWhat a ridiculous thing to say ... So as 'stake-holders' you think we should have a say in the major decisions that the Club makes?Originally posted by fah-q View PostHmmm, surely we all own a stake in the club as fans.

The thing is you don't own a stake. Fans never really have. Fans are the lifeblood, but that doesn't give them the right to have inside knowledge of the clubs decisions or to have a say in the running of the club. While you may protest bad running of the club and while the club may choose to liaise with fans, there is no obligation too and quite frankly I would be worried if the owners went on a purely populist approach and fans do not have a right to part of the recruitment program.Originally posted by fah-q View PostHmmm, surely we all own a stake in the club as fans.

Unfortunately, the Sky-generation consumers can never understand this ... Good to see that there are people who understand it ...Originally posted by fah-q View PostHmmm, surely we all own a stake in the club as fans.

So, which Liverpool manager have you had a say in the appointment off? Fagan? Dalglish? Souness?Originally posted by Macedonian_Red View PostUnfortunately, the Sky-generation consumers can never understand this ... Good to see that there are people who understand it ...
If you are 35 these are the appointments in your life pre-sky. On which one did the club consult you on?

He must have been consulted on other stuff too, like: Moores becoming chairman; Parry becoming CEO; the construction of the upper centenary stand; and the planned move to Stanley Park, etc, etc.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostSo, which Liverpool manager have you had a say in the appointment off? Yep, clearly these things are something fans have always had a say in! It is only since Sky that such things have changed.Originally posted by BootRoom View PostHe must have been consulted on other stuff too, like: Moores becoming chairman; Parry becoming CEO; the construction of the upper centenary stand; and the planned move to Stanley Park, etc, etc.
