I don't think it'll get to that stage. FSG want him, if Swansea are really that desperate for an extra couple of million, FSG will probably pay it.

Oh, and even if we assume transfermarkt.de is entirely accurate, which it isn't... it still doesn't show Spurs spent more than £180m net in that 5 yr period. It does however give a figure for what we spent over then. Less, but not a lot less considering our ownership situations over those years.

I think for the sake of a couple of million we should be taking our medicine her, I don't want to see this drag out for weeks.

NB not being blaise about a couplle of million but if FSG have identified him as the man to take us forwards Swansea are going to want fair compensation and we'd be best paying it and getting our summer dealing underway

Can I for one say it's great (really, really great) to have someone on the site with a clear and unpeachable knowledge of which sites should and shouldn't be used to fuel rampant speculation on previously undisclosed transfer figures. Especially since one of the key areas of contention usually focuses around how one site can be accuarate and another can't.

Now that you're here I fianlly feel safe in saying that arguments around net spend will be a thing of the past. You've even won bets on the subject with other internet mongs too. Not just one you say too but 5 or 6!!!!!! Wow!!!! With a track record like that I don't know how anyone could possibly suggest you could have been full of ****.

Very easy to check ... For example, the most reliable source on the net about LFC transfers is lfchistory.net ...

Now, compare that to transferleague.co.uk ...

The problem is that transferleague.co.uk only use numbers reported in the media, and they are often not accurate ... On the other hand, sites like lfchistory.net or transfermarkt.de use only official club statements or annual financial reports, where the real numbers are reported ... Most English fans avoid using transfermarkt.de, because their numbers ar in Euros, based on the exchange rates on the day of the transfer ... Like I have said, we've been through this at RAWK on 5-6 occasions, and I have never lost a bet on this issue ...

Only go for bets where you can control the outcome
