In reality, we won't know that for a long time, if indeed we ever can.

Not pissing about but the job he's done with that Wigan squad is outstanding. With those players he should be getting pummeled in the championship let alone the prem. it's not his managerial acumen that is the question for me. It's the key issue that will major up and coming players want to come to play for wor Roberto when they could be playing for Wenger, Mancini or the Last Drunk of Scotland.

I think he'll be ok but is this the display of ambition that is going to inspire the players we have, that are clearly still fiercely loyal to Kenny, or to bring in the players we need to step up.

        Total goat****!!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Yep. This totally feels like how it felt when we got the Bodge in.

Martinez is a nicer fella, but he has won absolutely bugger all, and Wigan were mince for the majority of the season. If anything WH was a more in form manager when he joined.

I hope this is just round 1 of the interview process

Yes, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it before

That fact that we are talking to him tells you all you need to know IMO. We shouldn't even be looking at this sort of manager. Gutted.

                big big call imo.
                I suspect you're right.

The Champions League is **** anyway, all that stupid music and midweek games in Europe. Load of crap, we're better off out of it.

Either that or Whelan is the only one to open his massive mouth.

Shocking if Martinez gets the job. I've nothing against him at all, seems like a nice guy but it's too big a risk right now. Let him prove himself higher up somewhere else before we take the plunge.
and why does having won something, having cl experience and managed a big club successfully mean he'd be successful here.no matter who is appointed its a gamble, every manager appointed at every club is a risk.

would it be a sweetner if rafa came in aS dOf above martinez?

                          what about van gaal. by far the most qualified and successful candidate;

Or he's the only one currently in employment.

However I fear we'll be disappointed regarding Bergiristain

There are tons of rumours doing the rounds (and I stress rumours) about who is advising them

The more rumours I hear the less confidence I have in FSG
I'd like to think its the likes of David Dein but knowing us its more likely to be David Dickinson.

Go on, Lec. Be a rogue and throw some names in. It's not Woy is it

Well Dein has pretty much been confirmed. But Ayre made it sound like they are taking advice from various people, so I wonder who else? What do the rumours say?
