The one tiny hope I have about Rafa is that any proper review of the club would underline what a good job he did. Not just in how quickly and how much we've fallen but also by any proper review of our current squad.

What's the best part of out team at the moment? Id say the core of our back. Reina-Agger-Skrtel-Lucas. All signed by Rafa, all signed for relatively reasonable fees.

Who are our bright prospects? Sterling and Shelvey. Both signed by Rafa, both demonstrating exactly what FSG want in terms of spending money on talented youngsters who can develop.

What part of the club seems to be developing well? The underage system, run by the men brought in by Rafa.

Rafa was building foundations for the long-term here, which is why I was so gutted when he was sacked. The Bodge may have destroyed a lot of his good work in the first team very quickly but with time you can already see how some of his other work has begun to pay off. And anyone reviewing the club honestly would have to notice that.

Still think we'll end up with someone else though

It's a pity he didn't also say that in order to succeed you must have the best players possible on the pitch, and not merely select them in order to pad out their appearance stats. Let's hope the new manager thinks this is 'obvious' and is 'strong enough' to do it.

The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Well I disagree, you can take more than a step at a time and succeed. ****e players who need an average team to ensure they stay on a nice little earner for a few more years might like the idea of a step at a time but I don't buy that ****.

With the right investment this summer there is absolutely no reason why we cannot challenge for the title next season.

We need to make that title our holy grail, our obsession, otherwise we will never ever win it again.

If by 'succeed' you mean 'walk' then one step at a time is best.

New managers first job will be to get rid of Carra. Hope he has the cajones to do it. Carra has far too much say in things for my liking...oh and he's ****ing **** now also.

When you are in the market for your third new manager in just under two years, you have been turned down by the Swansea City coach and the fans are getting more than a little restless, it may seem a canny idea to invite those same Liverpool supporters to lend a hand in the search for a new boss.

Someone at Anfield decided to invite suggestions on Twitter about who should succeed Kenny Dalglish, with a view to the replies appearing on the club's website.

The following question appeared on Friday afternoon. What could possibly go wrong?

"Who do you want to replace Kenny Dalglish as #LFC manager? Reply with your suggestions and reasons."

"It could be someone we've been linked with or a new name. #LFC"

Not long afterwards, however, someone thought better of it and the question disappeared. Maybe the suggestions were less on the lines of Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho, and more David Brent and Captain Sparrow.

Later, Liverpool's official Twitter account said the context of their tweet had been "misunderstood – we were simply looking for fan views to include on a fun online feature".

Has the world gone mad? Why the **** are we pulling a tweet like this when anyone with half a brain would know we aren't taking a poll to actually dictate who we are going to employ. Not sure who is more stupid here, the thick as **** morons who made an issue of it or the journo who thinks it was a stupid thing to do. **** sake!

I need to lay down, this **** is creating some serious rage

Apparently: AVB, Rafa, Guardiola, Klinsman, Klopp, Biesla, Laudrup, Deschamps, De Boer, Martinez, Lambert & Rodgers are the 12 on #LFC list
                              Klinsman.
