I just read his Wiki entry (that's Steve Martin's, not El Matador's). He won the Grammy for bext Country Album a couple of years ago and is, by all accounts one helluva banjo player

And on El Matador... If he did his own Achievement Cycle and discovered that at the point he developed the idea of Achievement Cycles his own Achievement Cycle was in decline does that imply a degree of fallibility and reduced mental capacity that would therefore diminish the value of Achievement Cycles as a leader in sports and personality analysis ergo making them no more than hocus pocus and kitten feed?

It's as if they are going out of their way to demonstrate how thorough they are being in all of this, instead of just getting on with it with the minimum of fuss. They can't legislate for attention-seeking knobs like Whelan, though.
