Anyone wonder if Ayre would have given our owners a choice where Rafa is concerned, as in...If Rafa were to come back......Ayre would hand in his notice ? Would he feel that strongly ?

Just can't understand why they wouldn't speak to Rafa and find out for themselves, but not knowing their reasons means it's difficult to judge either way.

I don't get why they don't like each other.

****ing playground behaviour that though, him telling tails to FSG about Rafa.

A lot of it, i think, stems back to Rafa being out of the Purslow, Ayre, Broughton loop when they were planning on getting H&G out of lfc, i think Rafa was very much in the middle of all that, with neither side taking him into their confidence and both feeding him a load of ****e regards future planning, in an attempt to keep him quiet.

          Rafa
          Guardiola
          Klopp
          De boer

any of those 4 would be worthy of being our new manager.

....and maybe that's all he has told him. Whelan, as we've seen, has no compunctions about over elaborating on football matters when there's a direct line to Sky Sports.

Or, we have offered him a deal

If we could get Guardiola but under condition that he signs now and then takes a break until January would you do it?

Hell no. He has great players to work with at barca. He was unable to find a way past chelsea as he had no plan b, plus he came up short against inter. Take messi away and they aren't half the side. Most people could win with messi in their side. So basically I'm saying the jury is out. He has won plenty and I'd take him today, but wait and **** a season up? Nah.

Well Pep said yesterday that he'll only take few months for a break, which is significant shift given what he said earlier, and he also said that he will "wait to be seduced" upon his return if the right offer comes.

Given everything he said I wouldn't be surprised if he cuts his vacation short after only few weeks.

If that is the case we should turn the world around to try to sign him for so many different reasons.

If that is not the case and he really wants to recharge his batteries for next few months FSG will not wait coz we cannot wait.

                    Simple as that.

Not a chance. What has he done anyway? He's had four years first team managerial experience with the best players in the world. How would he manage with players not of that standard? I think it'd be too big a step down for him, think he'd struggle with ordinary players to be honest.

Laughable mate, on another day and with a touch of luck the Chelsea tie would have been done and dusted by half time in the first leg at Stamford Bridge. Guardiola is a class act and will succeed wherever he goes.

Was using the chelsea game as an example of where he doesn't have a plan b. Messi seemed knackered and they struggled. You have no idea whether he could be successful elsewhere.

Well Kenny is on record as saying he after a month he knew he was ready to go back after he resigned.

I wouldn't wait til January myself but August, sept then maybe

I would like to see Guardiola take on a team competing for a top four spot like Newcastle or Tottenham before he makes the bigger step down to a club aiming to retain a position in the top half of the table like ourselves.
