Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I know not many of us want either Rodgers or Martinez but do you not think we're all being a bit disrespectful and highly dismissive of both candidates.
I do and it's making us all look a bit petty imo.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I don't think people have been disrespectful or dismissive at all. No one has said Martinez and Rodgers are bad managers, most people on here have just stated they think this type of role might be a bit too early in their careers.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostI know not many of us want either Rodgers or Martinez but do you not think we're all being a bit disrespectful and highly dismissive of both candidates.

No harm in thinking that IMO.

Unlike Dave Whelan, Montse obviously knows how to play the game and keep the Benitez cards close to her chest.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostJust in case anyone's still clinging to the hope it'll be Rafa

Throw us all of the scent.
Surely FSG should speak to Rafa, even if just to rule him out................
Humph. Stupid football

Curious ? why ...Originally posted by chadrtc View PostI must admit that i'm warming to the idea of Rodgers, I'd prefer him over Martinez.
To be honest, I think both of them fall under the category of young talented with premiership experience, some people beleive that Swansea FC and there current style of play have more to do with Martinez than Rodgers ..... * some dontAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

No, not when there are much better, more qualified managers available and not when we had Kenny Dalglish as our manager just a couple of weeks ago.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostI know not many of us want either Rodgers or Martinez but do you not think we're all being a bit disrespectful and highly dismissive of both candidates.

I agree. He is younger and overachieved with Swansea. It is a struggle to justify either of them but i think its slightly easier to justify Rodgers. Martinez has done whats required of him by just keeping Wigan in the premierleague but i don't see any real evidence of him taking that club forward.Originally posted by chadrtc View PostI must admit that i'm warming to the idea of Rodgers, I'd prefer him over Martinez.
atm my preference for manager is like this:
LVG>Rodgers>Martinez
(i don't consider Rafa a realistic choice)Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

The thing I like about Rogers is that he seems very hungry to learn. I like that he went to spend time with the Spain camp to watch them train. I love that he got Swansea (****ing Swansea!!) playing possession based, pressing, passing football. I like that he seems a humble guy. I like that English is his first language (I do think it helps) and that he speaks other languages also.
I can imagine him working really well under a director of football like Van Gaal. He's come full circle for me now. If I had to choose from Rogers or Martinez, I think I'd probably go for Rogers. **** me, can't quite believe what I'm saying!K ris90210

Which other languages does he speak? I also reckon it helps to have english as your first language, he speaks it very well for an Ulsterman
