Can I for one say it's great (really, really great) to have someone on the site with a clear and unpeachable knowledge of which sites should and shouldn't be used to fuel rampant speculation on previously undisclosed transfer figures. Especially since one of the key areas of contention usually focuses around how one site can be accuarate and another can't.

Now that you're here I fianlly feel safe in saying that arguments around net spend will be a thing of the past. You've even won bets on the subject with other internet mongs too. Not just one you say too but 5 or 6!!!!!! Wow!!!! With a track record like that I don't know how anyone could possibly suggest you could have been full of ****.

. On the other hand, sites like lfchistory.net or transfermarkt.de use only official club statements or annual financial reports, where the real numbers are reported ... Most English fans avoid using transfermarkt.de, because their numbers ar in Euros, based on the exchange rates on the day of the transfer ... Like I have said, we've been through this at RAWK on 5-6 occasions, and I have never lost a bet on this issue ...

Some of them have even had to pay some money to come to that conclusion ...

Anyway, back on topic ...

I don't think that Rodgers would be allowed to spend considerable amount of money, even though he would probably still feel like a kid in a candy store, compared to the spending power that he's had at Swansea ... His interest in continental (especially Spanish) football is definitely encouraging, and I would hope that he has done his homework identifying potential targets there ... He was probably scouting players that were more suitable to Swansea, but if he was paying attention to younger and not established players, that knowledge of the market could still be very useful for LFC ... I definitely don't expect big name marquee signings in Rodgers' first season with us, especially since FSG look reluctant to spend since last summer ...
