It's perfectly clear that the only reason they rejected his offer of resignation is because they want to sack him. The ****ers are addicted.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think our defense has been much better in the past than it was last season. It wasn't hard to improve from Bodge.Originally posted by RedReet View PostBecause there was a noticeable improvement in our defence just weeks after he came in and almost every player when interviewed last year found reason to mention him and sing his praises regardless of what they were being interviewed for. Because our defence this year under his guidance was our strongest position with Sktrel looking twice the player he was, Agger and Johnson playing well and Enrique sound defensively at least. Because any manager or club he worked for spoke very highly of him and he’s well regarded as a top coach whom many expected (expect) to make the step up to permanent full time management.
And so you are saying that you wanted Kenny to stay but Clarke out? What was Clarke's role in our demise then that you are excusing Kenny for?
The players all sung the praises of Bodge before and after he joined us and still do now!
His background might be defense but he's not our defense coach, he's our Assistant Manager and we've just had our worse season in was it 18? Lowest goals scored for I don't know how many years?
I'm not making any excuses for Kenny, last seasons league form was dismal and he was the Manager but he's also an icon and symbol of the club and I think he could have turned it around. Maybe he could have turned it around with Steve Clark, I didn't say 100% would I want him out.
But if Kenny was given another season then I think he had to change something, you cannot keep doing the same thing forever and expect the results to be different.
I wish I knew what has happened during the past season but I don't, I'm just an internet gossiper like you expressing my opinion
.
I would love to know whether they changed the approach to training during the course of the season or just kept doing the same things. If they changed the training what did they change and why didn't it work, if they didn't change the training why not?
I would love to know whether they changed the way they approached the build up to each game, how much of all their decision making for team selection, tactics etc was based on instinct and gut feeling and how much was scientific based on stats and analysis. A lot of people thought Rafa was a bit anal with his computer approach but I don't know how the Kenny/Steve combination worked.
Maybe they were too similar? Rafa had Sammy Lee and Houllier has Phil Thompson. Sammy was good for communicating with the players and knowing when to 'lower the temperature' and crack a joke whilst Rafa was considered a bit cold. Houllier was good at putting his arm around the shoulders of players whilst Thommo was a good yeller.
Maybe the problem with Kenny and Steve is that they were 2 peas from the same pod?
So, nothing against Steve Clark but something had to change if the results were going to change and I'd have preferred to change Steve Clark and keep King Kenny rather than change King Kenny and keep Steve Clark.

Yeah, you have to offer it as you are tied to the contract.Originally posted by Scratch View PostCan you resign from a position if you are under contract, or do you have to tender an offer of resignation, which can then be either accepted or rejected?
They clearly like him if thats the case.*Except Michael, who died.
